Hello, this weekend has been special because I could practice my swing with the bat after more than five years away from softball, to summarize a little my history with this sport I will tell you that before becoming a mom I practiced many sports so the sport discipline has never been a challenge for me, the last of my favorite sports to practice was softball a group of girls and I got together to represent our community that already had its men's softball team and we were the female representation. This sport for me is about adrenaline, lots of energy and mainly about teamwork where each player is responsible for their position and in turn needs to connect with the rest of the team to achieve victory.
Hola, este fin de semana ha sido especial porque pude practicar mi swing con el bate luego de más de cinco años alejada del sóftbol, para resumir un poco mi historia con este deporte les comento que antes de ser mamá practicaba muchísimos deportes por eso la disciplina deportiva nunca ha sido un reto para mi, el último de mis deportes favoritos por practicar fue el sóftbol un grupo de chicas y yo nos reunimos para representar a nuestra comunidad que ya tenía su equipo de sóftbol masculino y nosotras fuimos la representación femenina. Este deporte es para mi de adrenalina, de muchísima energía y principalmente de trabajo en equipo donde cada jugssor es responsable de su posición y a su vez necesita conectar con el resto del equipo para lograr la victoria.

Como dice un refrán popular "lo bien aprendido nunca se olvida"; y llevaba meses queriendo ingresar a una caja de bateo para volver a conectar con el deporte y sentirme viva, por suerte y gracias al apoyo de mi esposo quién siempre me motiva, me apoya y busca la manera de compartir momentos de calidad en familia, este sábado pudimos asistir al cajón de bateo para hacer swing y conectar la pelota. Esta práctica también sirve para enfocarse, concentrarse y también liberar estrés o fatigas producto de la rutina, tomar el bate y conectar la pelota es un momento de adrenalina pura, el corazón bombea más sangre y se siente genial. Ahora, imagínate como sería jugar en equipo donde aspiras ganar.

Soy muy diestra para este deporte, la máquina me estuvo lanzando 10 pelotas por ronda a 45 km/h, en un principio me costó ajustar el swing y también la mecánica de bateo porque llevaba muchos años sin practicar, perdí un poco la visión lo cuál es fundamental al momento de conectar la pelota, luego de los 3 primeros lanzamientos ajuste los tiempo y ahí si comencé a hacer e swing con más soltura y logré conectar 6 pelotas de 10 que fueron lanzadas todas a la zona. Realicé unos 40 swing y de verdad no quería salir de la caja de bateo, pero sin guantines mis manos estuvieron sufriendo producto de la fricción con el bate y ya se me habían formado algunas ampollas, así que salí victoriosa, emocionada y también feliz porque un grupo de señoras que pasaban me felicitaron por tener un buen swing.
