Hello, a few months ago my little son and I made a parking lot on the floor of our home so that he could learn to keep order at home and in this way take care of his carts, and also avoid accidents. However, he also plays with some smaller racing carts that had no location until now. Yesterday, remembering a creative craft I did in one of the schools where I worked as a classroom teacher, this cart organizer in the shape of a truck came to my mind. When I make these crafts I always do them with my son in order to enhance his creativity and imagination.
Hola, hace algunos meses mi pequeño hijo y yo elaboramos un estacionamiento en el piso de nuestro hogar para que él aprendiera a mantener el orden en casa y de esta forma cuidar sus carritos, y también evitar accidentes. Sin embargo, él también juega con unos carritos de carrera más pequeños que no tenían ubicación hasta este momento ya que el día de ayer recordando una manualidad creativa que hice en uno de los colegios donde trabajé como docente de aula, vino a mi mente este organizador para carritos con forma de camión. Cuando realizo estas manualidades siempre las realizo con mi hijo con la finalidad de potenciar su creatividad e imaginación.
The first thing we did was to find the recycled material that was the cardboard we got from a box that we had thought to throw away and that we transformed into this organizer cart, important because my son is learning about the value of recycling and the transformation of materials into original designs that we can have at home. On the other hand, I was thinking of making a kind of tutorial, to show you the step by step, but precisely in this creative process my little one and I were coming up with some other ideas to make the organizer cart look cooler, so we worked on a project with some variants of incorporating materials to make the final result better and I could not photograph those details.
Lo primero que hicimos fue encontrar el material reciclado que fue el cartón qué obtuvimos de una caja qué habíamos pensado botar y que transformamos en este carrito organizador, importante porque mi hijo está aprendiendo sobre él valor del reciclado y la transformación de los materiales en diseños originales que podemos tener en casa. Por otro lado, pensaba hacer una especie de tutorial, para mostrarles el paso a paso, pero precisamente en este proceso creativo mi peque y yo fuimos ideando algunas otras ideas para que el carrito organizador se viera más genial, entonces trabajamos un proyecto con algunas variantes de incorporación de materiales para hacer mejor el resultado final y no pude fotografiar esos detalles.
We used an exacto to cut the cardboard, I made all the cuts myself to avoid accidents, my son helped me with a pencil and ruler to mark all the pieces, ideal because he learned about the use of ruler and measuring the spaces. Then, my little boy and I glued all the pieces of the back of the truck organizer where they will be located and organized their carts and also glued white tape around the edges of the cardboard to have better definition work and then if we proceeded to paint with one of the favorite colors of my son as it is orange.
Utilizamos un exacto para el corte del cartón, eso si todos los cortes los hice yo misma para evitar accidentes, mi hijo me ayudó con el lápiz y la regla a marcar todas las piezas, ideal porque aprendió sobre el uso de regla y de la medición de los espacios. Luego, mi pequeño y yo pegamos todas las piezas de la parte posterior del camión organizador donde irán ubicados y organizados sus carritos y también pegamos cinta adhesiva blanca por todos los bordes del cartón para que tuviera mejor definición el trabajo y luego si procedimos a pintar con uno de los colores favoritos de mi hijo como lo es el anaranjado.
The painting and finishing the surface of the organizer was my son's favorite part, he went to get his carts to see if they would fit in each cubby and after giving the go ahead we started painting, the cardboard took some time to dry, we painted it three times to make the orange color look vibrant and super colorful as my son wanted. So it took us a while at this point and it was time to sleep, luckily tonight my husband prepared dinner for us since he didn't want to be disconcerted by the work we were doing.
La parte de la pintura y el acabado de la superficie del organizador fue la parte favorita de mi hijo, el fue a buscar sus carritos para ver si entraban en cada cubículo y luego de dar el visto bueno nos dedicamos a pintar, el cartón nos tomó algo de tiempo para que se secara, le dimos pintada tres veces para que el color naranja se viera bien vibrante y super colorido como lo quería mi hijo. Por lo que tardamos en este punto y se nos hizo la hora de sueño, por suerte esta noche mi esposo nos preparó la cena ya que no no quiso desconcertar del trabajo que hacíamos.
