Hace unos días conversaba con un chico que conocí hace poco, inmediatamente buscamos temas de conversación de intereses en común; me llamaba mucho la atención que unos de esos temas era nuestra organización para asistir a las actividades pastorales, llegamos a un punto que son tantas las actividades en las que debemos hacer presencia que debemos tener una buena organización para responder con todas las responsabilidades.
A few days ago I was talking with a guy I met recently, we immediately looked for topics of conversation of common interests; it caught my attention that one of those topics was our organization to attend pastoral activities, we reached a point that there are so many activities in which we must be present that we must have a good organization to respond with all the responsibilities.
El chico organizaba sus actividades en diferentes aplicaciones para el teléfono, cada una correspondía a un área de su vida: Personal, Laboral y Pastoral; yo por mi parte lo organizo todo en un calendario del Google y mi cuaderno de notas. Luego más interesante fue pensar un día en el que los dos estuviéramos “Libres” para encontrarnos e ir al cine juntos, si el no tiene una actividad importante, entonces la tengo yo.
Sólo para que tenga una idea de lo complicado que es coincidir conmigo les quiero relatar todo lo que hice este fin de semana ¡Y no he parado ni pararé! Tengo todo el mes de noviembre ocupado por diferentes actividades pastorales.
The boy organized his activities in different phone apps, each one corresponding to an area of his life: Personal, Work and Pastoral; I for my part organize everything in a Google calendar and my notebook. Then more interesting was to think of a day when we were both "Free" to meet and go to the movies together, if he doesn't have an important activity, then I do.
Just to give you an idea of how complicated it is to coincide with me, I want to tell you everything I did this weekend and I have not stopped and will not stop! I have the whole month of November occupied by different pastoral activities.
El sábado desperté a las 05:00 de la mañana para alistarme y estar lista para la primera actividad del día: La Celebración del Día Nacional de los Movimientos Juveniles, este día se conmemora en la iglesia católica todos los movimientos juveniles católicos; quienes día a día trabajan por la promoción cristiana juvenil y la construcción de la civilización del amor.
On Saturday I woke up at 05:00 in the morning to get ready for the first activity of the day: the celebration of the National Day of Youth Movements, this day is commemorated in the Catholic Church all Catholic youth movements, who work every day for the Christian promotion of youth and the construction of the civilization of love.
Este día fue bastante agotador para mí debido a que formé parte del equipo organizador del evento; sin embargo, fue un día que recordaré hasta el fin de mis tiempos ¡Fue muy divertido todo lo que hicimos! Además de un compartir fraterno con alimentos también hicimos muchos juegos donde cada joven pudo demostrar sus habilidades con cada reto.
Luego de haber culminado la celebración quedó lo más divertido ¡La limpieza! El desastre fue bastante, así que duramos unas cuantas horas limpiando y organizando todo para dejarlo como lo conseguimos, al finalizar estas fueron nuestras caras de alegría y cansancio:
This day was quite exhausting for me because I was part of the organizing team of the event; however, it was a day that I will remember until the end of my life! In addition to a fraternal sharing with food we also played many games where each young person was able to demonstrate their skills with each challenge.
After the celebration was over the most fun part was the clean up! The mess was quite a lot, so we lasted a few hours cleaning and organizing everything to leave it as we got it, at the end these were our faces of joy and tiredness:
De allí fue rápidamente a la parroquia San Benito Abad donde se realizaba la 28° Asamblea Arquidiocesana de Pastoral Juvenil de Caracas, ya para cuando llegué eran aproximadamente las 06:00 de la tarde; muchas de las actividades se realizaron durante el día así que no pude estar presente, pero llegué a una de las más divertidas ¡La noche festiva!
From there it was quickly to the parish of San Benito Abad where the 28th Archdiocesan Youth Pastoral Assembly of Caracas was being held, by the time I arrived it was about 6:00 in the evening; many of the activities were held during the day so I could not be present, but I made it to one of the most fun ones, the festive night!
Pude compartir con muchos amigos, sonreír, bailar y sentirme amada en cada momento; la asamblea dio fin el domingo a las 03:00 de la tarde, así que durante el tiempo que estuve presente participé en diferentes espacios ¡Quedé agotada! Al llegar a mi hogar solo pude darme una buena ducha e irme a dormir para luego el lunes regresar a mis labores diarias en mi lugar de trabajo.
I was able to share with many friends, smile, dance and feel loved at every moment; the assembly ended on Sunday at 03:00 in the afternoon, so during the time that I was present I participated in different spaces I was exhausted! When I got home I could only take a good shower and go to sleep and then on Monday return to my daily work at my workplace.
Sí, fue un fin de semana agotador… Pero la felicidad es más grande que el cansancio, les comparto una frase que llegó a mi corazón durante estas actividades:
“Esta es mi vida, yo la elegí; opté por los jóvenes y seguiré trabajando para ellos”
