Hello Hiveians!
Never in my wildest dreams that I'll do a content like this in my blogging stint, but here we are. I'm on my 9th day of my
30-Day Blogging Challenge which was initiated by @tegoshei. I was seriously considering about changing the topic, but I couldn't think of a good one given the time constraint. I mean, who the hell would show what's in their bag except those actors and actresses who are caught in a bag raid? I guess this challenge pushes the boundary that was initially set only for the famous and influential. Here I am, without a shred of influence in my blood, showing you the contents of my bag. Please don't judge.
Alright, I'll do my own bag raid!
What's In My BagEssentials and Garbage in One Place
It's a sling bag I bought at a sale in SM during Christmas season. I bought it for Php 400.00 for two. I gave the other as gift, while I kept the black one for me. No brands and probably the cheapest, but it has served its purpose. I use it everyday for work. I already told you in one of my entries in this series that my bag has been with me for 3 years already and I have no plans of replacing it soon. I had sewn one side of the sling because it was detached about a year ago and the other side is now almost detached.
I have another bag which I also used sometimes, but it is intended for my travels. It was a little bit expensive for me, but I bought through an installment plan about 2 years ago, so it was a good deal.
Here are the contents of my bag:
1. Company ID - When I'm going to work, it's probably the most important content in my bag. I can't enter the company without it.
2. Transparent Mesh Wallet - I'm not a wallet guy ever since because I believe that the bag was enough, but for some reason the wallet was stuck to me. It contains my money, ATM, USB, and payslips.
3. Deodorant and Perfume - I would rather look unkempt than to smell unpleasant. Although I always use them in the morning before going to work, I'm always conscious of how I smell when I'm around with people so these two are the essentials. They should always be ready just in case.
4. Cloth Mask - It should have been a cleanroom mask or a surgical mask, but the company ran out of stocks and they're not sure when the orders would arrive, so we were given cloth masks. I know they're not that effective, but it's better than nothing. I just wear a face shield to augment the protection against COVID-19.
5. Eyeglasses - Or just the holder of my eyeglasses with the wiper inside. My eyesight started deteriorating when I started to work, but I got a pair of eyeglasses 18 months ago. Now I realized that I should have another eye check up to replace the lens of my eyeglasses. I can't clearly see through them as before which indicated that I need a higher grade.
6. Umbrella - This is my third umbrella because I always forget where I left them. I always choose the black and anti-radiation coated one, so it's not just for rain. I always bring an umbrella because sometimes the weather's unpredictable. Also, sometimes there's no rain in Mandaue, but it's pouring hard in Lapu-Lapu or vice versa. An umbrella always comes in handy.
7. Pain Relief Rub - Yes, I'm growing old. I need some pain relief rub. 😂
8. Digital Thermometer - I just bought it recently, because we had a daily body temperature monitoring at work. Whenever we feel a slight symptom of fever or body temperature above 37.2°C, we would be advised to rest or 14 days quarantine depending on the doctor's assessment. I bought a digital thermometer to check my body temperature every morning, immediately after I wake up. Yes, I'm that paranoid.
9. Sunscreen - Aside from anti-radiation coated umbrella, another layer of protection is needed. Yeah, skincare is life. Korean drama influence.
10. Alcohol - Paranoid of the virus, I need this for my peace of mind. Before the pandemic, I was never hygienic. The pandemic made me a germophobe just like my classmate in college. I guess Sheldon Cooper was right all along.
11. Garbage - Old payslips, bank withdrawal receipts, old ATM, random papers, and some notes I couldn't remember. I guess I should start sorting them now and dispose those I think I don't need anymore.
I swear I had a G-tech pen stashed somewhere, but I guess my mother took it again. That's all for the contents of my bag. How about you? Would you share what's in your bag?
