As Earth Day 2021 is being celebrated, Cinnamon Cup Coffee takes the opportunity to remind each and every one of us that we can play a part in helping to restore earth. As a Cafe Community, let us try to reduce the use of plastic cups, straws and other take away plastic containers. Every little effort helps, we only need to take responsibility and realise that it all depends on us.

I have been a fan of coffee for a while now and since the pandemic, I have been ordering coffee from cafes thru delivery very often that it's costing me a lot. I have wanted an espresso machine before but I've always imagined they are $200 above, and even so, I'm just delaying another 'big' purchase for some reason.

Cafe Lavender, this is the place I'm talking about. I sat there uncountable times, I enjoyed their food hundreds of times but now they no more can serve us.

I decided to pop in to grab a cup of coffee and garb a quick chat with my friends that work there. It had been many, many, months since I'd last seen them. It was so good to catch up for the 2-3 minutes while waiting for my coffee to be ready. We even talked a little about Bitcoin.

So this morning we have coffee again. We'd managed to break our one and only Moka pot a while back but luckily a friend, @xwidep, brought us a replacement he had going spare at his home. Phew, thank goodness for that.

To make an iced caramel macchiato, put 3 pumps of vanilla syrup in the glass.
I don't usually see cafes putting caramel syrup on the sides of the glass but I just decided to put some so it would look better haha.

So my wife and I got into coffee a few years ago with the birth of our son, we needed the extra alertness when he wasn’t sleeping well which lasted probably a year. Now that he sleeps better though, we’ve become addicted to the stuff. I had to stop drinking it for a while and it was really difficult to give it up but you gotta do what you gotta do lol.

The ship has left the dock and finally, my coffee has arrived. The coffee is still hot inside the cup, so it’s a perfect combination with the sea breeze. Hot coffee and the sea breeze are like Romeo and Juliet.

I invited my yet-to-be girlfriend to a breakfast date on this day. July 2019 was my last month at my previous workplace and that month was filled with so many activities. All of my weekends were booked with tutor sessions, morning runs, and yoga.
We went to Yolk - Coffee and Breakfast in Mabolo, Cebu City. It's one of those restaurants that I keep passing by and I've always wanted to go in. I finally had the chance and the reason.
