A HURRAY FOR THE COFFEE, my dear friends I had the opportunity to go to breakfast at the Pastelería Monagas this is a very famous bakery in the city opened in 1969 is an icon in the city, this bakery is much older than me. I remember being little and going with my mom to buy the divine paticos.

Of course much has changed over the years, now it is shown with a minimalist style, in neutral colors that lead you to enjoy in calm. As well as it has changed its prices too, which are quite high compared to other places.

I went with my partner in adventure who is my cousin, we love to go to meet and try new places. We went to have breakfast but it was already 2 o'clock in the afternoon so there wasn't much left to taste, their shelves were quite empty, they only had pastries of pernil, meat, ham and cheese croassant and a small square of pizza.

We decided on the 2 remaining croassant and a golfiado of course with a coffee. My body needs coffee to be able to wake up that's why my sleepy face in the pictures hahaha.

It really wasn't the best experience since the coffee was a little cold and the artellate of my coffee was a little ugly, the one they gave to my cousin was nice so it was the one I took a picture of, since mine wasn't worth taking a picture of.

Unlike the croassant it was very tasty, personally I am not a fan of the golfiado, its texture is not my favorite and the papalon sometimes makes me sick to my stomach, I only ate a square of this one, but the bread was very soft.

The candy display was very nice, this one had a bit more items, this one I didn't try. It brought back a lot of memories to see the famous "Paticos" that I used to eat with my mom.

For being one of the most emblematic and expensive places in Maturin I expected a little more, I have gone to places that are more accessible and economical where the place is nice and the food is very good. This breakfast had a cost of approximately 15$.
