Greetings,
Dear friends, it has been a while since I last shared with you about this great elixir that is coffee.
Each time I learn more about coffee, its processes and its preparation, the more difficult it is for me to get a coffee with which I feel at ease, that is why I have stopped trying and buying the commercial coffees sold in supermarkets, I simply buy the one that moderately suits my tastes and I stay there.
The Review of coffee shops I have also left them aside because the idea of going to an establishment and paying for a coffee where it is supposed to be made by a person with the preparation and studies to do it and that the result of my coffee at home is better than this one bothers me.
But today I come to share with you a great finding that I stumbled upon when visiting my sister a few days ago, she lives in Caracas in an upper middle class area and the supermarkets in the area offer products that are difficult and different from what we get in the interior of the country.
I am here to tell you about Grano a Grano coffee.
Before visiting my sister she told me that she was consuming this product and as a good coffee lover she spoke very well of it, when I went to visit her house of course I tried it while we were talking and catching up.
Before returning to my city, we went to the supermarket and I brought a 400g package to consume at home.
First let's talk about the packaging.
The packaging is quite simple, somewhat minimalist but with a quality to maintain the humidity and the best conditions of the product.
It has a zip lock seal to keep the coffee in its packaging and micro-perforations for the product to breathe and keep it in optimal conditions.
The brand.
The brand is called Grano a Grano holding and works only with certified origin coffee and specialty coffee.
They work with beans from the Venezuelan Andes with plantations above 1500 meters above sea level.
They supervise the genetics of the plants, the harvesting system, the drying, the roasting and finally they filter the beans to guarantee the quality of the product.
The product.
The coffee is an arabica type product as I said after a process of selection of the beans has a medium to high roasting its most outstanding feature is that the coffee is wet is not a dry powder as commercial coffee, the aroma is indescribable the first time I had it occurred to me to pass it to a container and the aroma of coffee in the house was like an air freshener and until there were about 50gr of coffee the aroma did not go.
The preparation.
Now when it comes to drinking it I prepare coffee at home in two ways, the first and simple one is in my Greca coffee maker, in this one I only drink black coffee and when I have little time. The second is my Bremen espresso type coffee maker where I prepare coffee to enjoy it, in this one I make my brown coffee and with the steam I heat skim milk and enjoy my good cup of coffee as in any establishment.
At the moment of preparing with some trial and error I noticed that this coffee for its high quality yields much more, it is not necessary to add more amount of coffee for it to be good, I even dare to say (because I do not do it) that the portions in gr are very precise and thus the coffee yields much more.
The flavor in either of the two presentations is exquisite, the true artisan flavor of a good coffee, drinking it is to move you to the fields where it is grown and to value that ancestral flavor.
The cost.
Many of you who are reading this publication will think that this coffee costs an arm and a leg, and I will tell you that this coffee package has a cost of 5.4$, maybe the same or less than any commercial coffee where they grind any pasilla.
I recently browsed the Instagram page of the company where they have WhatsApp contact I thought it was something protocol but I wrote to them and the response was immediate and between my sister and I managed to acquire direct product from the company without passing through the dispatch to supermarkets.
The advantage a more recent product a wholesale price and best of all is that the company only requires a minimum of 2kg to sell you what makes it not heavy to buy the product in this way and so we have coffee to cover the month.
I hope you enjoy
of this review and I invite you to try a coffee with origin certification...
