I don't think so, there is any person left on this planet who hasn't done online shopping Especially people living in Urban areas and in big cities. Online Shopping is mixed with good as well as bad experiences.
There could be lucky people on this planet whose experience of online shopping has never gone wrong. But I'm not one of them. I'm not saying all my experiences are gone wrong, but there are multiple bad experiences that come to my mind when I think about online shopping.
My first experience happened when I was studying in college and I needed to buy 1 book, I tried my level best to buy it in the local market but it wasn't available.
The Only Option for me was to buy it online, I searched for it on the Internet, Luckily it was available but the price of the book was almost doubled, I think and think and think and finally decided to buy it because my final exams were near and I needed to study from that book.
They said I will get the book in two days. I paid the money and then the waiting period got started. After two days I got a courier, I paid the delivery charges which were minimal.
I came into my room and opened the parcel, there was some other book in the parcel !!!
How they could do this to me? I tried to contact them about this mistake, I don't know if it was intentional or unintentional, but it spoiled my mood. I got very angry, I called them again and again, but they haven't picked my call.
My money and time got wasted. I'm still carrying that book to remember my bad experience, But it is not of any use.
I had to borrow a book from one of my friends to prepare for my examination, and we both get managed to study from one book. I am very thankful to him.
The second experience has had happened 1 year ago. It was wintertime, and I have many jerseys ( Cloth to Wear in the Winter season ) But My wife forced me to buy 1 online. I really don't want to buy it but when your wife says you to buy something, just buy it. Never Say no to it :P You will thank me later for this suggestion :P
We selected the Color and stuff, I usually wear the medium size and we ordered a medium size, brown color jersey for 40$. 40$ may not sound like a big amount for you, but it is a big amount for me as I don't like to spend on myself :D
When you order something online, the eagerness to get it continues to increase as time passes. It was a long wait of 7 days. On the eighth day, in the afternoon, My doorbell got ranged, and I went out to see who is outside, it was a boy from the Courier Service, I got happy that finally, the wait is over and I will get what I was waiting for 7 days.
I called my wife to come to the TV lounge and handed over the parcel to her, She opened it with excitement, and all our excitement got ended when we saw the Jersey, It was worse !!!
The Stuff was totally bullshit and also it was not of my size and also the colour of the Jersey was not what I ordered.
Thankfully, This time My Jersey was replaced and they took full responsibility for their mistake.
I finally get the true value after waiting for another long week.
