Hey Everyone, I hope you are all fine and doing great. This Post is my entry to Weekly Featured Content in the #Hivelearners community. Today's topic to write about is Is Learning That Hard?
I would like to start this post from this beautiful quote by
Brian Herbert
This is one of the topic that excites me and force me to write. I adopt thing very fast when it comes to learning new things and when I think about it, it takes me to my childhood when I was growing and facing new things that are happening in my life on the daily basis. the first thing that I remember is learning how to ride a bicycle.
I do remember my first bicycle, it was gifted to me by my uncle. He promised me he will buy me a bicycle, and one day when I came home from the school, there was this bicycle in the red color waiting for me. I got very excited and wanted to try it right away, but my uncle told me that, it's not easy to ride it on your first day, let us first learn it when there is less crowed on the roads, but I was stubbornness and wanted to ride it as Soon as possible, "he dropped his weapons" and got agreed. We went to the nearby street and I started riding the bicycle, he was holding the bicycle from the behind and I was paddling the bicycle. Just in a few minutes I was riding the bicycle on my own and just in an hour I learned how to ride a bicycle, though it was not a proper learning/riding, but yes i learned it very fast and can now ride it on my own for a shorter distance.
The second thing I remember learning fast was flying a kite. I was very fond of watching the kites flying the air on the sky and even when I was studying, my eyes were on the sky watching the kites. I even get beaten by my mother and my teaching due to this. This fondness helped me to learn flying the kites quick. I still remember flying my first kite, It was a small kite, the color was green and in our language we used to call it as Pari, and when i started to fly it, and in few minutes, it was flying on the sky, I feel like i have achieved a big thing in my life, I enjoyed flying very much. Life has it's turns and now i am married and i don't even remember flying the kite.
here i want too add something. Though i enjoyed flying the kite when i was a kid, and now i am grown up and realized, it is not a good habit and I have seen people losing their life due to this flying kites. Recently a boy who was going on the bike on the road got died when the thread of the kite cut his neck. The video was very painful and this thing ( kite flying ) should be banned.
After competing my Masters, My friend recommended me to join a software house to have experience of practical learning. the software house was of his friend and i joined the software house through his reference.
Just after one month of joining, one day the owner of the software house called me to his office and gave me the scenario to built a software for. I tried my level best and even after working hard for two weeks, I was failed to write a code for it. I went to the his office and asked him to teach me where i was stuck, But he refused and asked me to do it myself. I came back in the sitting area, and felt very disappointed and stopped going to the software from the next day.
May be he was trying built a self solving capability in me, but his refusal to tell me/teach me hurt me very badly and after this incident i left that field and never went back to any software house or something like that.
