Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This will be Week 150, Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week which is “LOVE SHOULD BE ENOUGH”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic which was “IS EASY ACCESS A BLESSING?”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community sharing with us their opinions of how easy it was for people today to get information. No matter how complex it was. However, when compared to how information was gotten and the amount of effort that was required to achieve it, it was indeed a far cry.
We got to see different opinions on this. Many believe that the ease is part of what makes many people not as smart as people were back in the day. There were those who didn’t think that it made any difference. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w150e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors will be listed below.
Featured Contents
HAS EASY ACCESS TO KNOWLEDGE MADE US SMARTER? by @princessbusayo
This author told us that in her opinion, being smart or intelligent is not just about having access to knowledge or information., however, the way and manner information is processed and applied to our lives for the maximum benefit is what truly makes for a smart person. While we may not be as smart as our predecessors were, we certainly have more opportunities than they enjoyed.
A BLESSING OR NOT by @momogrow
For this author, she believes that the easy access to information was a blessing, but one that came with a cost. We’re not smarter than those that came before us, having easy access to advanced technology and information is simply the privilege of being in such a generation. While it sure makes life easier, it doesn’t make us any smarter than those who came before us.
EASY ACCESS TO INFORMATION. WHAT IS IT ADDING TO? @amberkashif
For this author, easy access to information is indeed a blessing. While it comes with a lot of benefits, it also has a number of downsides, that if one is not careful, could ruin just about everything. She concluded that while the easy access to information made us more knowledgeable than our ancestors, it in no way made us smarter or more intelligent.
All of the above contents were supported by our official curation account lazy-panda with an extra amount. These posts were selected because of their special attention to detail and how they followed the topic. There were a lot of good ones out there, but we just could not pick them all.
But then, we have some honorable mentions which are listed below:

AND NOW, WE MOVE ON TO THE NEW TOPIC!
Week 150 - Edition 03 Topic
“If there is one thing that is becoming more and more prevalent in the dating scene, it's the issue of prenuptial agreements. Is this really a necessary addition to the marriage ritual? Shouldn't love be enough? Does having to sign such negate the love that the couple have for each other? Is this something you'd do?”
