So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on our third topic for this week which is “BRING IT BACK”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “CRYPTO NEWS”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about the crypto news in their various countries and how it was faring there. In various parts of the world, crypto is accepted in some and it’s banned in others, which makes for a topic with diverse responses.
We got to see some countries where the government allows people engage in crypto, and then countries that crypto got banned and how the citizens were trying to cope with the restrictions. It was an enlightening topic indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w104e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us about how the Nigerian government had taken a stand against crypto within the country. From banning people to issuing fines on the trading platforms worth billions of dollars. This is a scary turn because without the government backing crypto, it's growth becomes slower. But then, that has not been able to stop her. And it won't.
THE BRAZILIAN GOVERNMENT ON THE HUNT FOR CRYPTOCURRENCIES by @shiftrox
For this author, he also told us that the Brazilian government was also taking action against crypto in Brazil by taxing heavily all crypto trades. It's like a siege on the digital currency and things don't look hopeful. However, if more people decide to take it up and adopt crypto, then the government would have no choice but to accept it.

This author shared is government's stance on crypto and thankfully, it's a bit more relaxed than others. The government has declared support for crypto and even identified it as a form of security. If things keep going this way, the sky would be the limit.
