Hello everyone, how are you doing today? Hope you are having a great time. This is going to be Week 82, Edition 03 of our Weekly Featured Content.
So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to come to an end. We are currently on our third topic for this week which is “A BETTER WORLD”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last one which was “A BROKEN PROMISE”. This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about the time they broke a promise they had made. For one reason or the other, they were unable to keep their word and as a result, it affected the dynamics of their relationship with those the promises were made to.
We got to see how easy it can be to make promises, but also how hard it can be to keep them. Life happens, and the unexpected may occur, forcing us to go back on our word even though we only had the best intentions from the start. It was an enlightening topic indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w82e2 tags. And with the number of wonderful posts out there it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. This author told us about the various promises he had made over the years and how keeping to them has not been as easy as he had hoped. There were promises, and even here on Hive. Keeping promises is not as easy as making them, and this is something we all have to learn to accept. We’re all humans!
AN UNCONTROLLABLE SITUATION LED TO A BROKEN PACT by @emrysjobber
For this author, he told us about how he had promised to help out a coursemate during an exam. However, thanks to an external invigilator, things took a drastic turn he could never have seen coming and the exam became even more challenging than he could have hoped. Thankfully, it all ended on a good note.

This author told us about the promise he made to always be a friend to someone, no matter the distance and circumstance. However, plans changed and he had to cut them off from his life completely. Even after rekindling the relationship, it still didn’t work out. And today, they don’t talk as they used to. This is something that happens more often than we realize..
