2023 has just ended and it was a very productive year for me as it was the year that I have created the most amount of content on different communities and engage on many people. But I know that I can do better and one way to help me to do better is to set up goals on what I want to achieved for this year and create plans on how I can achieve it. After all, a goal without a plan is like a journey without a map which results to people getting lost most of the time.
My Hive Goals for 2024
- Make at least 5 post per week
No matter what we do, consistency is an essential factor to succeed and for Hive, that means keeping on creating content in order for other author to be familiarized with us so my goal is to make at least 5 quality post per week. Thankfully, by joining Splinterlands Social Media and Battle Mage Secrets Challenge will already cover 2 of my weekly post while Hive Learners have 4 topics to enter per week including #creativesunday. But there are times that I can't write for the featured topic and when that was the case, I could also write for Weekend Experience with their weekly prompts or finance- related content on Inleo. I can also post for the newly created Holozing community which I occasionally make content or by sharing 3 songs on a threetunetuesday post just for fun.
- Achieve 2500 HP within the year and 500 HBD in savings.
As of the Writing of this post, I have a total of 777.354 HP and 207.928 HBD worth of savings within my account and in order for me to achieved my goals, I need to have at least another 1723 HP and 292.072 HBD in order to accomplish it. This was a conservative take for me considering that curation was not always a guaranteed thing and the value of upvotes can depending on the token price in the market and in order to achieved this, my plan was to have no power down for the entirety of the year and do not liquidate any of the HBD that I earn from rewards.
- Make 3000 comments within the year.
Based on #HiveRecap2023 , I have made a total of 1760 comments last year and so for this year, I want to make at least 3000 comments if not more. The way to achieved this was by commenting on every post that I have read and to reply on every comments on my post. I can also make threads and reply on them on inleo which is the Hive alternative for Twitter. Doing this will also help me on being remembered by people and to potentially follow me.
My Hive Gaming Goals for 2024
Hive Blockchain was more than just a social platform that we use to blog. It was also the home for multitude of DApps that serves as an alternative for Web2 programs including games and as a gamer, I have also set some goals with the Hive games that I am playing.
- Splinterlands: Build at least silver cap Rebellion Deck.
My current Rebellion Collection
For those that who don't know, Rebellion was the latest card set offered by the trading card game Splinterlands and together with Chaos Legion was the only set that can be played on Modern format where majority of human players play. But when the next series of cards are released, Chaos Legion Will be removed from modern format and I would be left with only Rebellion to play unless I bought the new card set. My plan was that before that new set comes, I was already able to build a Rebellion deck on Silver level and this can be achieved by using the SPS that I earned from the accounts that I played since I have no plans to liquidate any of my Hive Earnings as part of my goals. Another way was for me to stay competitive in the game to get the DEC price from the leaderboard which I have ranked consistently for the past 2 seasons with a total worth of 90k DEC or 90$ on par value.
- Holozing: Reach 15k $ZING
It was just last month when acidyo announces his new project in development called Holozing which is a web3 game that will have similarities to Pokemon as well as the distribution of $ZING which will become its in game token when the game was finally released so before that happens, I want to collect at least 15k $ZING and one of the ways it can be done by delegating HP the zingtoken account which is also one of the reason why I do not want to power down my HP as the more HP I delegate, the more $ZING I can earn. So far. I already have 1.58k $ZING within its distribution with 500 HP for my current delegation, leaving the rest of my HP to still be able to effectively post and upvote content and I believed 15k was not out of my reach if I can continue increasing my HP delegation.
With this, I have laid down my Hive goals for 2024 and my strategy in order to achieved them. I also followed some of the things I learned from starstring01 and applied SMART GOALS to achieved my target which is to make it Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time- Bound which is by this instance was set within 2024.
