Hey, Everyone!
Remember when my student ("Annie") came to our lesson with a Plan? Here's the finished drawing! Isn't it adorable? I mean, she looks really tired (we both were tired today) but the star-shaped freckles... OMG, they're so cute!
Meanwhile, I was using shading and coloring as a form of meditation. It's so satisfying to see the mark that the pencil makes on the paper, sculpting the features of the face and filling the blank sheet with something that you've made. I was so immersed that Annie had to snap me out of it a couple of times.
Another thing we did in today's lesson was we drew using prompts from this website: Virink What to Draw. Annie's sister found it somehow and sent it to her, and she in turn showed it to me.
The prompts we used were "a modern wizard", "a guitar and a violin on a date", something-about-wind-and-sea (don't remember what) and "a magical healing plant". Annie's drawings were all great but I particularly love the tree. She had thought up a whole story about it - who created it, how it grew, what made it heal people, etc. It was so cool!
And, finally, below are my interpretations of the prompts. You can see that I've drawn Taako (you know, from TV?). Again. He pops up everywhere in my art - different designs, different styles, but always with the hat and the smug look. If you're wondering what he's doing, he's taking a photo of the vampire with the shining teeth. Which, the more I think about it, is a really useless thing to do. Like, Taako, my man, what'cha doin'? He's a freaking vampire, he won't even show in the picture!
Anyway.
❤️❤️❤️ I hope you like them! ❤️❤️❤️
