Who would argue that "a sunset" isn't the most beautiful nor romantic thing on earth. No one! right? For a lazy girl like myself, who's never made it in time to watch a sunset. This time of a hiking trip that I took with my 3 friends: V, M and N was "the time" to do that. And I'll show you what we ate and a new friend we met on our way back.
Our first day of conquering Phu Kradeung in Thailand wasn't quite over yet. After Part I : Will We Make it to the Top and Part II : We are the CONQUERORS!, that we made it to our accommodation, we relaxed and changed our hiking clothes into something warmer. Then we walked to witness the sunset at the cliff.
The picture on the left is my sunset outfit and on the right is the walkway. It started to get some golden sunlight. Very beautiful.
I'm glad that the weather was getting a little colder so that we got to wear our jackets and beanies.
We walked from our campsite to the cliff called "Mak Dook". They provided us with the walkway so the amateur tourist like us won't get lost. I remembered that it wasn't far but looking from the map it did actually take some time. I guess I was enjoying the moment a lot and didn't really care about the time. lol
Here we arrived at the cliff at almost 6 pm.
We were there just enjoying the vibe and watching the sunset together as it got colder and colder.
This picture was taken around 5.52 PM.
We love sunset at Mak Dook Cliff in Phu Kradeung.
And the sun was setting and this was just 6.05 PM. Not even 10 minutes had passed and the color of the sky changed completely.
When it got dark (almost suddenly) and also cold. We decided to get us some burnt potatoes. Perfect for a time like this.
Then we walked back to the camping site and got dinner. It was just around 7 pm but it felt like so much later.
M and I got noodles, well it's actually Mama, the instant noodle. The restaurant made it a little fancier with extra vegetables and eggs.
Me #nomnomfoodie with the perfect noodle.
V and N got something like congee and we decided to share a big bowl of soup. We need something nice and hot after a long day. As you can see, they also let us charge our phone at the restaurant. Because we were so high up, we didn't have lots of electricity so we needed to charge our phones like this.
That was a simple meal and then we had to walk back to our house. The way back through the trail was pretty long. So I told my friends to just take a shortcut and walk through the camping site. This way was a little bushier but it seemed fine.
That what we though until we got out of the field and found this!
A leech!! Four of us were screaming as we were shocked that we actually saw one. N had actually warned us about this. I, as the one who took responsibility for walking the shortcut helped V with removing the leech from her shoe.
We got back safe and sound. And pretty much went to sleep right away after a loooooong day of hiking and tomorrow we wanted to check out the sunrise, so we needed our (beauty) sleep.
That's for the first day of Phu Kradeung. Thank you for stopping by and if anything please leave the comments and I'll see you guys again :)
Stay fit and keep hiking guys!
