Thank you for showing all the love and support on my last two blogs of the series. Iām back with another one, and in this part three of the series will be exploring the last village on top of The Shegli Mountain called Nayalag.
The places and villages that I am showing to you in this series are some of the remote towns and villages of Himalayas and they are not popular with tourist at all, not even a lot of locals know about them so they are really exclusive. If you havenāt been through the previous two parts of the series, Iāll be posting links below. Now we were at the top. This was the last this road was constructed on this mountain, and after that, this road doesnāt get any higher on this mountain, it just connects to other mountain on backside of this mountain towards Ksheri village.
So we were enjoying this last stretch of the road and to our surprise, it was very, unlike the road we just came on previously. So it was a last chance to have some adrenaline rush into our blood before we got into the depth of the unseen places in the Himalayas.
To get that adrenaline rush into our blood, we accelerated the throttle of our bike and the bike took off. As already mentioned, we were already on the top of the mountain, and so the whole Valley was moving with us. We felt like we are on the top and now we are running towards heaven. It was such a heavenly feeling that we cannot forget about.
Iām really grateful that these places are hidden as of now, because if these heavenly places got in hands of everyone, then they would definitely get destroyed. They will not look as pristine as they are looking right now, and they will also be full of the dirt and the crowds that the most himalayan popular tourist towns witness every day.
There is a kind of Tranquility in these places, what I think is mostly because of the people that are living here. What I mean to say is that the people who are living in these remote villages of Himalayas are really good hearted people. They are grateful for everything they have, and they treat nature with respect.
They donāt ever destroy nature, like we do in cities, and they even worship the natural things that are found in the mountains. They considered mountains to be the home of God, and they donāt pollute it ever.
I also consider myself lucky that I know about these places from my childhood days when not even the roads were constructed here Iāve heard tales of these places from my grandmother and grandfather, and they told me how the people living in these villages came down only once in six months for groceries.
At the time I was a child and as a child, I always dam of visiting these places when I grew up. So as soon as the road opened up for these places, it was me and my father we visited this villages in our 4 x 4 and I got to see this beauty for the first time.
Ever since Iāve been to these remote villages, many times, in fact, I visit here every couple weeks to unwind myself and to connect back with nature as these places are just an hour away from my home.
As we were on the top, we got off the bike for a while to see how high we were. I was amazed to see how we were as I could see many kilometres of land below me..
I see multiple layers and multiple villages beneath me. I was on the top and it felt like it couldnāt get better. I was immersed fully in the experience which I was having at that moment.
After spending some time in that spot, we moved further only to find a woman who was with her sheep.
As there are very less vehicles and people who travel on this road so the ships were walking on the road itself, fearlessly. The woman was very sweet, and we exchanged a few greetings with her.
She told us that she lives in Nayalag Village that is about five minutes away from the road we were travelling in.
We couldnāt see the village as it was away from the road, so we just enjoyed the Mesmerizing beautiful mountains that were all around us.
After meeting her, we parked a bike on the side of the road to sit for a while, as the road was about to turn towards the back of the mountain now, and we wanted to soak ourselves as much as we can in the views that we were seeing at the moment. The back of the mountain was completely different as the front of The Mountain was full of light, dramatic skies, Lot of villages, lot of greenery, etc. But the back of The Mountain was dark and dense with snow all around it.
