First of all, I would like to thank you all for all the love and support on my previous blog of part one of this holy Pashupati Nath Temple in Kathmandu. This blog is going to be the continuation of part one, and in this blog, I will be telling you guys about my detailed experience of visiting this Holi place experiencing the divine power that this place has to offer.
But before proceeding, I highly insist you to go through my previous blog, that is the part one of this series. Iโll be posting link to that below for you guys to check out.

So here we were now about to enter the Holi Temple. We already saw all the rituals and all the worships that were being held just outside of the temple. The peace I felt during my entry to the Temple campus was unparallel to anything I have experienced before.
As already mentioned in the part, one of this blog, that as this temple is one of the most prominent ones in Kathmandu, so there are a lot of people who are trying to visit this temple every day and so we had to stand in the queue that you can see in the photograph to get inside of the temple.
There were some steps that we had to walk on to get to the place where the people were standing in queue to get inside of the temple. There was one narrow entry that led us inside of the temple. Although this whole area was the property of temple itself, but the main area. The central part of the temple lived behind these walls.
In the photograph above, you can see that people had to stand in queue to get inside of the temple on walls the different kinds of instructions that were written for the people to follow. The main notable instructions were that the phone was not allowed inside of the temple and anyone found using the phone. His phone will be taken from him and another important thing that was written over there was that this temple was only allowed for Hindus to visit people of other religions were not allowed to visit inside of this wall.
So we stood in the queue to get inside of the temple, and it took us about 5 to 10 minutes of waiting time to get inside. It was written that the phone was not allowed inside, so there are no photographs of inside that I took following the instructions that were clearly mentioned outside the gate, so all the photographs that you are seeing are from the outside of the wall and the photograph of the temple, you can see are from a distance. I was not able to capture the photographs of up close of the temple and the Shiv Ling as it was not allowed.
So after taking some photographs outside of the temple premises while standing in queue, it was now to get inside of the temple, so I kept my phone inside and now I will be telling you guys about my story of experiencing this beautiful and blissful place.
So as soon as I entered inside, there were huge lines that were there multiple cues, in fact, in which people were waiting for their turn to do Darshan. We also stood in one of those lines, but we found out that they were two different cues that were there. One was for the people who wanted to get inside of the temple itself and other was for the people who just wanted to do the darshan of Shivling from a distance, so we decided to opt for the one that was From a distance because that would save us a lot of time to explore other things that was going around of the temple rather than standing in the queue for 2-3 hours.
The story of this holy temple goes like this that the Lord Shiv was found in antelope by the gods here near the Bhagwati River, and when the gods tried to touch it with its horn, it took its real form, which is worshipped here as Pashupati Nath.
It is believed that the person who comes here doesnโt have to get birth in any animal form in next life. According to Hindu mythology, there are 8.4 million different life for that one has to take before becoming a human being again. And being here for even once, would stop that from happening, and the person will directly take the human form.
The form of offering that is offered here in this temple was Rudraksh. People were carrying Rudraksh to Offer to the Lord Shiv. I also got one Rudraksh rosary for me as you can see in the photograph above. I was very lucky to be getting that .
We set inside of the temple for about half an hour and felt as peaceful as we could ever feel. I also witness some of the cremation activities that was going on behind the temple at the Bhagwati river. It is believe that the person who cremated here are really lucky.
After spending half an hour, there we went out of the temple to the main receiving area where I took all these photographs that you can see with my grandparents and also with my other group members. By this time, I was friends with a lot of group members.
After sitting there, also for about sometime, we decided to get out of the temple premises as we had to move to the next destination for the day, so we collected everyone around us so that we could move in groups.
As soon as we were out of the temple premises, there was one shop that was mandatory to visit. That was the shop selling Rudraksh as people wanted to carry this holy souvenir items to their household.
And the shop right outside, the temple was selling all the things that people required. Now, after buying some souvenir items from that shop, it was time that we moved to our Buji so that we could go to the next destination for the day.
I think that is it for today guys. Thank you for passing by. I will be telling you guys about my next destination in the next blog, so stay tuned.
