My first time inside a cave
The night before I could not rest well because of the nerves and excitement, besides it was quite cold which is normal in the hills, on this trip I wanted to visit many places like The hills of Cubiro, The Quíbor Ravines, the town of Tintorero in Venezuela, but what I was most eager to see was the caves, I had already seen pictures of the place so I had the illusion of being there.
At 8 a.m. after breakfast we had to leave for the caves, I found it strange that some people were missing, among them a couple with excess weight, a small child and two elderly ladies, after the crossing I understood why they did not attend the cave raid has its risks. I thought with this cold it will be crazy to get into that cave and get wet with the river. We had to go down the mountain for about 45 minutes by truck until we got as close as possible to the river and from then on we walked through the forest around a mountain and entered the Carrao Caves.
Mi primera vez adentro de una cueva
La noche anterior no pude descansar bien por los nervios y emoción, además hacía bastante frío algo que es normal en las lomas, en este viaje quería conocer muchos lugares como Las lomas de Cubiro , Las Cárcavas de Quíbor , el pueblo de Tintorero en Venezuela , pero lo que más ansiaba era conocer las cuevas, ya había visto fotos del lugar por lo que tenía la ilusión de estar allí.
A las 8 de la mañana después del desayuno teníamos que salir rumbo a las cuevas, me pareció extraño que algunas personas faltaran, entre ellos una pareja con exceso de peso, un niño pequeño y dos señoras mayores, ellos estaban decididos en ir, después de la travesía entendí por qué no asistieron la incursión a la cueva tiene sus riesgos. Pensaba con este frío será una locura meterse dentro de esa cueva y mojarse con el río. Había que descender por la montaña unos 45 minutos en camión hasta llegar los más cerca posible del río y de allí en adelante caminar cruzando el bosque rodeando una montaña y entrando en lo que son las Cuevas del Carrao.

We crossed the first water causé and it was freezing and we started to climb up the hill with wet shoes and with great caution because the path is narrow, you can also reach the caves by walking in the river, but it is more exhausting because of the force exerted by the water and you have to be more careful because of the slippery stones so the best option to get there is by the dirt path next to the river. After an hour you begin to hear the river louder and the whole environment begins to change, the trees are more lush, moist and there is more ferns around you, some logs are cut and placed as bridges to pass over them, thanks to whoever took that work so heavy for the recreation of some.
Cruzamos el primer causé de agua y estaba helada y empezamos a subir cerro arriba con los zapatos mojados y con mucha precaución porque el sendero es angosto, también se puede llegar a las cuevas caminando dentro del río, pero es más agotador por la fuerza que ejerce el agua y hay que tener mayor cuidado por las piedras resbaladizas así que la mejor opción para llegar es por el sendero de tierra al lado del río. Después de una hora se empieza a escuchar más fuerte el río y todo el ambiente comienza a cambiar, los árboles son más frondosos, húmedos y existe más helechos a tu alrededor, algunos troncos están cortados y puestos como puentes para pasar sobre ellos, gracias a quien se tomó ese trabajo tan pesado por la recreación de algunos.

This route of tourism is something extreme and it is not common to get it if you go to that area, it is important to be accompanied by security agencies, firefighters and police, in this expedition we had 4 policemen and if I am not mistaken 3 firefighters where the latter helped us to pass the last stretch of the cave. We all helped each other to cross the mountain, we were holding on to each other and the taller ones served as support for the lower ones, as we walked we were saying woo what a beauty, how incredible.
Esta ruta de turismo es algo extrema y no es común conseguirla si se va a esa zona, es importante ir acompañada de organismos de seguridad, bomberos y policías, en esa expedición contamos con 4 policías y si no me equivoco 3 bomberos donde estos últimos nos ayudaron a pasar en último tramo de la cueva. Todos nos ayudamos a cruzar la montaña, íbamos agarrados y los más altos servían de apoyo para los más bajos, en la medida que caminábamos decíamos wuaoo qué belleza, qué increíble.
After about two hours in the forest, you start to feel the weather warmer, maybe it is because of the amount of nature that surrounds you or the physical activity, as long as you do not touch the water that is crystal clear and provokes you to drink it, but some people carried their container with something that gave them warmth, draw your conclusions. A drink does not hurt if you are about to suffer from frostbite.
The effort has its reward, the silence was maintained for a while when we admired so much beauty, crystal clear water, the walls of the cave pure mountain stone, and the sound reverberates the ears with a hollow echo of our voices, only the roar of the water that descends into the cave takes over the space. I had my special moment as I vibrated along with the mountain and could not get enough of looking up and down at everything around me, thanking God and the universe for this special moment.

Después de unas dos horas metidos en pleno bosque empiezas a sentir el clima más cálido, tal vez sea por la cantidad de naturaleza que te rodea o la actividad física, siempre que no toques el agua que es cristalina y provoca beberla, pero unas personas llevaron su envase con algo que les diera calor, saca tus conclusiones. Un trago no hace daño si estás a punto de sufrir congelación.
El esfuerzo tiene su recompensa, el silencio se mantuvo por un tiempo cuando admiramos tanta belleza, agua cristalina, las paredes de la cueva pura piedra de la montaña, y el sonido retumba los oídos con un eco hueco de nuestras voces, solo el rugir del agua que desciende dentro de la cueva se apodera del espacio. Yo tuve mi momento especial al vibrar junto con la montaña y no me cansaba de mirar de arriba hacia abajo todo lo que me rodeaba, dando gracias a Dios al universo por este momento tan especial.
