Südfriedhof (South Cemetery), a quiet place in Leipzig, Germany
Hello friends from all over the world
Have you ever added a tourist attraction to your list that you would like to visit, and that is a cemetery?
I know it may sound a bit strange but we are already on our fourth cemetery visit in Europe, the first one was in Zagreb, the second one was in Paris, the third one was in Maramures (Romania) and here we are visiting the fourth one with all of you in Leipzig (Germany).
By the way I still have on my list of sights about three cemeteries in Romania and Europe, I hope that in the future I can visit each one and show them to you.
A few posts ago I shared with you a wonderful place, namely the Monument of the Battle of the Nations in Leipzig, forget that this cemetery is located right next to this monument(if you want to take a look you can find it here).
But what makes it so attractive?
However, it is a graveyard.
As soon as we passed through the gate we were greeted by an image that at first glance did not appear to be a cemetery.
It was only after taking a few steps down the side alleys that I began to come across the funerary monuments, yes what monuments, very well done and it seems that some of them were of considerable age.
Let's take a tour of the cemetery.
The cemetery in my opinion is a sometimes mysterious place at least I am curious who is buried there, when I died and many other curiosities.
Also in this cemetery sleep their eternal sleep city personalities, writers, architects and many others, but unfortunately I can't show you all the funerary monuments, the cemetery has 82 hectares, for that I would need a few days, hehe.
Have you ever encountered deer in a cemetery?
If you look a little closer at the picture below you can see three free roaming deer in a natural environment.
After leaving the cemetery alleys in front of the chapel we found out that there is also a crematorium.
Here inside you can see the crematorium.
My dear friends, today's walk ends here and I'm sorry I couldn't show you pictures from inside but when we arrived here everything was already closed.
By the way this place I visited for free.
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.
P.S. The attached pictures you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone, and the text is also designed by me.
Yours @triplug😉
