Motherhood is the most beautiful experience that can happen to a woman, motherhood comes to unleash all your emotions and release your feelings, being a mother involves educating, caring and protecting a small defenseless being that depends solely and exclusively on you. So, motherhood makes you change your life perspectives and this is because when you are a mother or father you acquire one of the greatest responsibilities assumed by the human being and that is precisely to give life and care for that new being that has been born.

Before becoming a mother in my youth, my life of freedom and perhaps my little empathy or possibly my lack of knowledge about everything that motherhood implied, gave me the power to make conjectures about what many women did or did not do after becoming mothers, phrases like: that girl neglected herself after having a child, or look, she no longer meets with her group of friends after becoming a mother, her house is a mess, she lives sleeping since having her first child and the most common one, the child throws her tantrums and she doesn't scold her. In short, I was a young woman ignorant of all those factors that affect motherhood, so when I became the mother of my son Santiago, I understood that my petty and unempathetic thoughts towards other women mothers had been wrong, and that all those factors really imply the effort and sacrifices that a woman makes to take care of her child and offer him a good upbringing.

With motherhood, I, like many young mothers, "neglected" myself, and not because I wanted to spend all day at home and out of the house poorly groomed, much less for lack of self-esteem, my neglect is nothing more than the change of responsibility and vision of life. As a mom, my main priority is with my son, this does not mean that I am neglected at all, but rather that I have changed my single lifestyle, for a more relaxed maternal lifestyle because my time is exclusively to take care of my son, and of course the exhaustion and fatigue generated by the daily activities of attention and care absorb you, as a mom I feel more comfortable wearing sporty clothes or low sole shoes, my time is limited for makeup so I only use powder for my face and pencil for my eyebrows, my hair is always tied in a ponytail and my more conservative clothing and blouses ideal for breastfeeding my son.

My social relationships have also changed with motherhood, and not because I am less social, on the contrary, now I am more social and I enjoy the spaces where I share experiences with other mothers, likewise, my relationship with my son is special and unique, there is time to go out, walk and even attend some family gatherings and with my group of friends, however, my moments are unique to enjoy the best relationship I am forging with a person in the world, and that person is my son Santiago. Sharing with my family and enjoying quality time with my son is paramount to maintain a relationship of respect and love with my little one. The spaces for games, reading children's books and enjoying the playground, are one of the best activities I enjoy doing because I do them with my son and in this way I admire him while I watch him grow up.

Also, I can confess without any stress that my house is a mess, that I bet more on fun and recreation of my son, toys scattered around the living room, Santiago's tricycle parked at the front door blocking the way, Santiago's clothes thrown to the floor when he feels more free than normal and wants to take off all his clothes because of the heat or maybe because he feels sometimes more comfortable naked. Some liquids on the floor can also be found, from hair shampoo, toothpaste, some body lotion, and well everything varies according to the reach of my little one for that specific day, where he manages to reach any object or goes to the bathroom to play with anything that is within his reach, preferably dirt.

And yes, I have also been called a bad mother, permissive with my son because I let him do "whatever he wants", although the truth is not like that. Santiago is two years old, it is logical that he is in a stage of discovering new ways of adventure while he explores everything he finds around him and he is getting to know, I can not deprive my son to do this kind of activities which are part of his psychomotor development, of course, I am responsible to take care and to be my son's companion at all times, I even take the necessary measures to avoid accidents, even so I know that danger for a little one is everywhere, but it would be absurd if I wanted to prevent my little one from being a child, to prevent him from throwing tantrums or crying for an object when he has begun to discover his emotions and feelings.

Finally, the sensitivity and the accumulation of feelings in moments where you are watching your child grow, in a minute I can feel, happiness, amazement, fear, anger, with motherhood you experience the full range of feelings and that is due to the care and projection that you dedicate to your child while you watch him grow and form. Undoubtedly, motherhood has changed my life perspective, it is no longer only about me, in fact, it is no longer about me, my main reason for living is my son Santiago.

Bienvenidos a mi Blog

Mi perspectiva de vida cambió con la maternidad.

La maternidad es la experiencia más hermosa que le puede ocurrir a una mujer, la maternidad llega para desencadenar todas tus emociones y liberar tus sentimientos, ser madre implica educar, atender y proteger a un pequeño ser indefenso que depende única y exclusivamente de ti. Por lo que, la maternidad te hace cambiar tus perspectivas de vida y esto se debe a que cuando eres madre o padre adquieres una de las mayores responsibilidades asumidas por el ser humano y esa precisamente es dar vida y cuidar de ese nuevo ser que ha nacido.

Antes de ser madre en mi etapa de juventud, mi vida de libertad y tal vez mi poca empatia o posiblemente mi desconocimiento sobre todo lo que implicaba la maternidad, me daba la potestad de hacer conjeturas sobre lo que muchas mujeres hacían o dejaban de hacer luego de ser madres, frases como: aquella chica se descuidó luego de tener un hijo, o mira, ya no se reúne con su grupo de amigos luego de ser madre, su casa es un desorden, vive durmiendo desde que tiene su primer hijo y la más común, el niño hace sus berrinches y no le regaña. En resumen, era una joven mujer ignorante de todo aquello factores que inciden en la maternidad, así que cuando me convertí en madre de mi hijo Santiago, comprendí que mis pensamientos mezquinos y pocos empaticos hacías otras mujeres madres habían sido errados, y que todos aquellos factores implican verdaderamente el esfuerzo y los sacrificios que hace una mujer para atender a su hijo y ofrecerle una buena crianza.

Con la maternidad, yo al igual que muchas jóvenes mujeres madres me "descuidé" y no porque quisiera andar todo el día en casa y fuera de ella mal arreglada, mucho menos por falta de amor propio, mi descuidó no es más que el cambio de responsabilidad y de visión de vida. Como mamá, mi mayor prioridad es con mi hijo, esto no quiere decir que ando descuidada del todo, sino más bien que he cambiado mi estilo de vida de soltería, por un estilo de vida maternal más relajado porque mi tiempo es exclusivo para atender a mi hijo, y por supuesto que el agotamiento y el cansancio que generan las actividades diarias de atención y cuidado te absorben, como mamá me siento más cómoda usando vestimentas deportivas o zapatos de suela baja, mi tiempo es limitado para el maquillaje así que solo utilizo polvo para mi rostros y lápiz para mis cejas, mi cabello está atado siempre con una coleta y mi vestimenta más conservadora y blusas ideales para dar el pecho a mi hijo.

Mis relaciones sociales también han cambiado con la maternidad, y no porque sea menos social, por el contrario, ahora soy más social y disfruto de los espacios donde comparto experiencias con otras madres, así mismo, mi relación con mi hijo es especial y única, existe tiempo para salir, pasear e incluso asistir a algunas reuniones familiares y con mi grupo de amigos, sin embargo, mis momentos son únicos para disfrutar de la mejor relación que estoy forjando con una persona en el mundo, y esa persona es mi hijo Santiago. Compartir con mi familia y disfrutar de tiempo de calidad con mi hijo es primordial para mantener una relación de respeto y de amor con mi pequeño. Los espacios para los juegos, la lectura de libros infantiles y el disfrute en el parque infantil, son una de las mejores actividades que disfruto realizar porque las realizó con mi hijo y de esta forma lo admiro mientras lo veo crecer.

También, puedo confesar sin ningún estrés que mi casa es un desorden, que apuesto más a diversión y el esparcimiento de mi hijo, juguetes regados por la sala, el triciclo de Santiago estacionado en la puerta principal impidiendo el paso, la ropa de Santiago arrojada al piso cuando se siente más libre de normal y desea quitarse toda la ropa por el calor o tal vez porque se siente en ocasiones más a gusto desnudo. Algunos líquidos en el piso también se pueden encontrar, desde el shampoo para el cabello, la crema dental, alguna loción corporal, y bueno todo varía según el alcance de mi pequeño para ese día específico, donde logra alcanzar cualquier objeto o va al baño para jugar con cualquier cosa que esté a su alcance, de preferencia tierra.

Y si, también me han llamado mala madre, permisiva con mi hijo porque le dejo hacer "cuanto a él le plazca", aunque la verdad esto no es así. Santiago tiene dos años, es lógico que está en una de etapa de descubrir nuevas formas de aventura mientras explora todo lo que se encuentra a su entorno y va conociendo, no puedo privar a mi hijo de que realice este tipo de actividades que son parte de su desarrollo psicomotor, por supuesto, soy responsable de cuidar y de ser acompañante de mi hijo en todo momento, incluso tomo las medidas pertinentes para evitar accidente, aún así se que el peligro para un pequeño está en todos lados, pero sería absurdo si quisiera evitar que mi pequeño dejara de ser niño, evitar a toda costa que hiciera berrinches o que llorara por un objeto cuando él ha comenzado a descubrir sus emociones y sentimientos.

Por último, la sensibilidad y el acumuló de sentimientos en momentos donde estás viendo crecer a tu hijo, en un minuto puedo sentir, felicidad, asombro, miedo, rabia, con la maternidad se experimenta toda la amplían gama de sentimientos y eso se debe al cuidado y a la proyección que dedicas a tu hijo mientras lo ves crecer y formarse. Sin duda alguna, la maternidad cambió tod mi perspectiva de vida, ya no se trata solo de mi, es más, ya no se trata de mi, mi principal motivo de vida es mi hijo Santiago.
