Hello friends! I started a little challenge for myself where I am focusing on a micro habit for a month, to try and establish it in my regular day-to-day. A micro habit isn't a big thing (as you may have guessed based on the name), but just a little thing that might lead to bigger changes.
I had realized that I was spending a lot of time at the computer, and not really getting up except when I needed the bathroom or to get a drink or something like that. It's not healthy to sit for long periods, or to stare at a screen for long periods either, so I wanted to establish the habit of getting up and moving around even if just for a few minutes to break up my long sessions sitting down. This isn't about establishing a hardcore exercise routine, but simply about stopping the habit of sitting at the computer for too long.
So some of the days I did actually go out and go for a walk, but other times it's just knocking out a set of pushups. The point is to break the monotony and move a little more than it is gaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiinz, LOL.
I put these notes on my front door so I wouldn't forget, and I could keep track of my progress. Today I am at the halfway point!
Today I took down the days 1-15 notes and replaced them with days 16-31, so I could continue.
Here's hoping this really establishes a habit of breaking up long work sessions at the computer. Do you all struggle with this too?
Thanks for reading! :)
