Certainly not suggesting that humans should kill the planet (which I actually don't think is possible because we'll kill ourselves and the planet will recover just fine). I'm trying to point out that shifting these sorts of patterns of consumption on an individual level is almost impossible. If fish is available in every single grocery store, people are going to eat it because it's there.
What about bringing back specialty stores? Seems like increasing the barrier to access even a little bit does a lot.
