Olá pessoal! Esse é o romance "Entre Sombras e Encantos". Esse romance começou a ser escrito em 2012 e nunca publiquei nada dele, decidi retomar e readaptar ele juntando com meus recentes projetos e ele fará parte do universo de a Ordem de Nod. Embora ele faça parte do universo fantasia da Ordem de Nod ele será escrito como um romance independente com sua própria historia e ritmo.

Capítulo 5 - Ecos do Passado

Acordei tarde, o sol já alto no céu. A noite anterior ainda ecoava em minha mente, como um sonho que insistia em se repetir. Laura já estava de pé, e o cheiro de comida no ar indicava que ela havia assumido o comando da cozinha.
Ao descer, a encontrei sentada à mesa, com um sorriso radiante. Ela parecia especialmente animada, talvez ainda embalada pela energia da festa.
— Bom dia, dorminhoco! Eu preparei o almoço. Sei que você gosta do meu macarrão ao molho branco.
— Bom dia é bondade sua, já passou do meio-dia. — Respondi, rindo. Sentei ao lado dela e servi um prato. — Você parece bem animada hoje.
Ela riu e empurrou o cabelo para trás, visivelmente satisfeita com meu comentário. Enquanto comíamos, ela olhou para mim com um brilho curioso nos olhos.
— E então, você vai me contar o que aconteceu depois que me colocou para dormir? Não tenta esconder. Você está com aquela cara de quem tem segredos.
— Não é nada de mais. — Tentei desconversar, mas o sorriso dela me desarmou. Suspirei. — Kayra me beijou.
O garfo de Laura parou no ar, e seus olhos se arregalaram antes de se encherem de entusiasmo.

— Estranho... uma mensagem no Instagram. É de um perfil que eu não conheço. — Ela abriu a mensagem, e o silêncio que se seguiu foi perturbador. Seus olhos estavam fixos no texto, e seu sorriso desapareceu.
— O que foi? — perguntei, preocupado.

Meu coração deu um salto. Não ouvia falar dele havia anos, desde que nos abandonou. Fiquei sem saber o que dizer e ela começou a ler em voz alta:
“Laura, sou eu, seu pai. Sei que isso é inesperado, mas preciso te alertar. Você precisa se afastar da Kayra. Ela é perigosa, uma inimiga. Confie em mim.”
A mensagem parecia surreal, como se tivesse saído de um roteiro barato de suspense.
— Ele só pode estar brincando. Quem ele pensa que é para aparecer do nada e dar ordens assim? — Minha voz era dura, refletindo a raiva que subia dentro de mim. Laura parecia dividida entre a confusão e a curiosidade.
— Eu nem sei o que pensar... — murmurou ela. — Ele sumiu por tanto tempo... e agora isso?
— Não tem o que pensar. Ele não tem direito de aparecer assim e querer se meter na sua vida.
Laura ficou em silêncio por um momento, os dedos trêmulos ao segurar o celular. Me entregou o aparelho.
— Não sei o que responder, pode responder pra mim?
Poucas vezes vi a Laura tão vulnerável. Independente do que ele queira, ele não tem o direito de tentar voltar pra vida dela depois de todos os anos de abandono e muito menos dessa forma.
Peguei o celular e digitei, sem hesitar:
“Você abandonou a gente anos atrás. Não tem direito de aparecer do nada e querer nos dizer o que fazer. Se é mesmo você, prove. Caso contrário, desapareça de novo.”
Enviei a mensagem e devolvi o celular para Laura. Ela me olhou, ainda com um misto de emoções nos olhos.
— Eu não sei se queria que fosse verdade ou mentira... — disse ela, quase para si mesma.
— Eu sei que você sente falta de um pai, mas esse homem... ele nos causou muita dor. Não vou deixar ele te machucar de novo.
O celular vibrou novamente, mas desta vez, Laura hesitou antes de olhar a mensagem. Finalmente, abriu o aplicativo e leu em voz alta:
“Eu sei que vocês não confiam em mim. Mas estou falando a verdade. Kayra é uma ameaça. Não quero que vocês se machuquem. Por favor, tomem cuidado.”
O clima ficou pesado. Laura parecia mais perdida do que nunca, enquanto minha raiva aumentava. Algo estava errado, mas eu não sabia exatamente o quê. A intuição que herdei do meu pai sussurrava que havia mais nessa história do que as mensagens deixavam transparecer.
— Vamos lidar com isso juntos, Laura. — Eu disse, colocando a mão no ombro dela. — Não importa o que ele queira. Nós dois já passamos por muito, e vamos superar isso também.
Ela assentiu, mas o olhar preocupado em seu rosto dizia que essa história estava longe de terminar...
Conclusão
Esse foi o quinto capitulo de "Entre Sombras e Encantos", depois desse devo ter alguns dias sem a historia, já que meu frenesi de escrita me trouxe até aqui. Mas em alguns dias eu certamente estaremos de volta acompanhando essa historia...

I woke up late, the sun already high in the sky. The night before still echoed in my mind, like a dream that insisted on repeating itself. Laura was already up and the smell of food in the air indicated that she had taken over the kitchen.
When I went downstairs, I found her sitting at the table with a beaming smile. She looked especially lively, perhaps still buzzing with energy from the party.
-Good morning, sleepyhead! I've prepared lunch. I know you like my pasta in white sauce.
-Good morning is kind of you, it's past noon. - I replied, laughing. I sat down next to her and served her a plate. - You seem very lively today.
She laughed and pushed her hair back, visibly pleased with my comment. As we ate, she looked at me with a curious glint in her eyes.
-So, are you going to tell me what happened after you put me to sleep? Don't try to hide it. You look like you have secrets.
-It's no big deal. - I tried to brush it off, but her smile disarmed me. I sighed. - Kayra kissed me.
Laura's fork stopped in mid-air, and her eyes widened before filling with excitement.
-WHAT! You've got to be kidding! - She let out a loud laugh. - Did you like it? How did it go? Tell me all about it!

-What is it? - I asked, worried.

My heart leapt. I hadn't heard from him in years, ever since he abandoned us. I didn't know what to say and she began to read aloud:

The message seemed surreal, like something out of a cheap thriller script.
-He's got to be kidding. Who does he think he is to appear out of nowhere and give orders like that? - My voice was harsh, reflecting the anger rising inside me. Laura seemed torn between confusion and curiosity.
-I don't even know what to think... - she murmured. - He's been gone for so long... and now this?
-There's nothing to think about. He has no right to show up like that and want to meddle in your life.
Laura was silent for a moment, her fingers trembling as she held her cell phone. She handed it to me.
-I don't know what to say, can you say it for me?
I've rarely seen Laura so vulnerable. Whatever he wants, he has no right to try to get back into her life after all the years of abandonment, and certainly not in this way.
I picked up my cell phone and typed, without hesitation:
“You abandoned us years ago. You have no right to show up out of the blue and tell us what to do. If it's really you, prove it. If not, disappear again.”
I sent the message and handed the phone back to Laura. She looked at me, still with a mixture of emotions in her eyes.
-I don't know if I wanted it to be true or a lie... - she said, almost to herself.
-I know you miss a father, but that man... he caused us a lot of pain. I won't let him hurt you again.
Her cell phone vibrated again, but this time Laura hesitated before looking at the message. Finally, she opened the app and read it out loud:
“I know you don't trust me. But I'm telling you the truth. Kayra is a threat. I don't want you to get hurt. Please be careful.”
The atmosphere became heavy. Laura looked more lost than ever, while my anger grew. Something was wrong, but I didn't know exactly what. The intuition I inherited from my father whispered that there was more to this story than the messages let on.
-Let's deal with this together, Laura. - I said, putting my hand on her shoulder. - It doesn't matter what he wants. We've both been through enough, and we'll get through it too.
She nodded, but the worried look on her face said that this story was far from over...

This was the fifth chapter of “Between Shadows and Charms”, after which I should have a few days without the story, since my writing frenzy has brought me this far. But in a few days I'm sure we'll be back following this story...
