Sometimes, people forget that we live in a world where everything is transactional and that is why I will always respect people who donate some of their wealth to charity or to a foundation in another country that they don't know anything about. What they are simply doing is that they are trying to help people who don't know them and who have not even heard of their name before, just because they are trying to be good and they get their feeling of importance from there. I always respect such people because they show the true value of life, but not everybody can be like this. 95% of people stick around because of what they want to get.
You will see marriages based on transactions, even families and friendships, and some people don't even have people who genuinely love them without expecting something from them in their life, just because most people around them always want something in return. Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad thing, we are all getting something in return and some people will trade their loyalty for money, and some will sacrifice for you just for them to get something from you, which is a win-win situation but where I see it as a problem is when people are trying to deny the glaring fact
Just tell the truth and let us know where we stand
One simple truth about life is that some things are always obvious, like when someone is trying to do you a big favor. It's often easy to detect that they want something in return. You can just ask them outright and figure out where you stand. If it's something you can do for them right away, it can make the transaction smoother. However, some people deny that they expect anything in return, just to manipulate you into thinking that they genuinely care about you and want you to see them differently.
I used to tell people that it is perfect that you have something to offer. You must always put yourself in a position where you will always have something to offer because immediately you are in that position, you always have people around you who want to offer things to you just to get something in return, and that is good You will only attract high-value men when you are in a position where you always have something to offer. I'm one of those people who believe that nothing is free in this world. Most people are pouring into you because, in the future, they are expecting something from you, but some people deny this fact, which is something I don't like. Some also don't like it when people admit to this fact, which I don't like, because there is nothing bad in you saying the truth.
We need to grow up
Some people are lucky to meet people who just want to help, or I love them unconditionally. It doesn't happen often, some people invest all in you for your survival without expecting anything from you. If you're lucky to be around these people, fine, but there is nothing bad in admitting you are in someone's life and doing so much for them because you expect something in return that makes everything easier and doesn't give anybody a wrong impression, but the main reason why people deny this fact is because they believe by accepting this fact people will look at them differently. Yes, and we have people who look at those who accept that they are expecting something differently.
To become a mature individual, it's important to be able to handle the truth when people are sincere with us about their intentions for building relationships with us or investing in us. It's a fact that life is transactional - 80 to 90% of the people around us are with us because of what we can offer. It's important to not hold any grudges against people who are sincere about how they feel about us ans lying is what you should not tolerate.
