One of the worst things you can have as a man is surrounded by people who are scared to tell you the truth, which can happen for many reasons. One reason is that maybe they are scared of losing you. After all, most of the time, when you tell people the truth, they take it differently. I have also been in a situation whereby I told my friend the truth, and ever since then, we couldn't get along. I understand that fact. Another reason why people are scared to tell the truth is because they know the kind of person you are.
As a friendship progresses, you tend to gain a deeper understanding of the person, and sometimes you may hold back on expressing your thoughts or opinions, fearing that it may upset them and harm your relationship. However, it is important to remember that honesty is always the best policy, especially when it comes to those we care about. If you truly value your relationship, it's better to communicate the truth. Be direct and tell them if they're doing something wrong, and offer to help them improve. Constructive criticism can go a long way in strengthening a friendship.
If you have a brilliant friend even though the truth hurts, he will still find a way to get over it because he will understand that you are not only criticizing him, you are also telling him the truth, and you want him to be better and the truth most of the time hurt, we often lack people that can tell us the truth about ourselves. When friendship is beneficial or when your relationship is beneficial, people tend to hold back the truth just because they don't want to lose the benefit.
This kind of relationship that we keep makes us feel comfortable most of the time and are those relationships that spoil so many people's careers, at old age they are full of regret, thinking they should have done better with their life and it's not because their flaws are not obvious but because they have people who are not ready to tell them the truth. They are surrounded by people who come only for their benefit, and they don't want them to get better even when they know you are always wrong.
We are often surrounded by people who always tell us yes, and because we are also gullible, we don't normally ask them their sincere opinion, and when they try to question us, we get angry, Instead of listening to them, this set of people just keep quiet and leave us to figure it out. we are also humans, we don't always get it right, or sometimes we might lack the necessary knowledge, we make some terrible mistakes, and the truth is some mistakes you don't always make it out because they are permanent, and even if you get out of it, the damage has already been done.
Sometimes, when you look at influential people they go broke due to their greed and poor investment choices, including shady online deals and accumulating too many liabilities. Additionally, some people in their inner circle may not have their best interests in mind and fail to offer sound advice. These individuals often surround themselves with yes-men who prioritize their own benefit over thoughtful guidance. Despite knowing that they are making poor decisions, they continue to look at the stupidity of these individuals. If their inner circle were in the same position, they may have made better choices. However, instead of offering helpful advice, they choose to preserve their relationships and avoid conflict. Instead of advising them to invest in real estate or cryptocurrency, which could generate profits, they keep watching till you fail.
It's important to be aware of the people in our lives who always agree with everything we say and do, also known as "yes men". True friends are those who want the best for us and will provide sincere feedback. These individuals not only help us improve, but also prevent us from making costly mistakes that could negatively impact our finances, careers, and futures. As humans, we are not perfect and can make mistakes based on our emotions or feelings. Having a support system of people who can offer constructive criticism and keep us accountable is beneficial.
