It was Sunday morning.
A giant lizard was trying hard to control the dough
but the stuff kept shapeshifting, clearly not wanting to conform
to the texture and thickness that he wanted it to be.
Not only that...
his kitchen was a mess.
And, aside from that,
big chunks of dough were sticking to his raptor hands
and small pieces were pinned to his nails.
It didn't help that his razorsharp nails hadn't been cut in a long, long time and thus grown long, long and longer, over time.*
All these unwilling bits and pieces made controlling the dough even more difficult.
But, he wasn't called finansaurus for nothing.
if anyone would be able to control the dough, it would be him.
He knew, deep in his reptile mind, that he would get there, eventually.
Perhaps, one day,
sooner rather than later,
this would lead to pastry that all other animals in his surroundings,
would actually be willing to pay for.
TO BE CONFINUED...
The above short story was inspired by a quote that I learnt, the day before yesterday, while listening to an audio book on money ( The Millionaire's Mind ):
Either you control money or it will control you
when talking about money management.
It stuck with me
and, eventually,
led to 'dough' sticking to finansaurus' hands and fingernails ;<)
The drawing/ collage was made by me, just now. I added some flour ( not dough ) for a funny, 3d effect and somewhat of a Christmas vibe.
Enjoy your Holidays!
And try to control your dough
or it will control you ;<)
*In the past, I have written about the dilemma of shortening your nails and how horrible an experience this is for sensitive raptors. Read more on that in No ( more ) football for Hypersensitivosaurus and The Ukulelelest Sound in the World
