Week 12th, only a few more days and the first quarter is gone.
When I set my main financial goals for Hive for this year (the HIVE and HBD ones), I didn't consider HIVE will mostly be above 90 cents, and now rising with the market.
As problems deepen in the world with the war and the various crisis that evolve, crypto seems to feed from that as it caters to all parties equally and is for now an escape pod against ramping price surges that puts pressure on fiat currencies and the economy.
So a double of my initial stake in HIVE (i.e. 12500 HP to 25000 HP) in 2022 may become an unrealistic goal. As people with higher stakes know, doubling your stake in HIVE becomes more and more difficult the more HP you have.
That doesn't mean I'm abandoning this goal, it just means I'll be less focused on the week-to-week or even month-to-month achieving of it, but looking for some opportunities here and there when I can make a bigger impact.
I'll still track the evolution of the two goals and guidelines weekly, so I can see where I stand, but I won't tie myself to achieving them or not every time. But I'll be glad when I will.
Now, the week was again with good and bad.
The bad came in the form of my mistake that made me drop to a minnow level for 5 days, which also comes with reduced curation rewards for that period and a serious drop in Hive voting mana until I'll be able to redelegate my full amount back. On the positive note, I still have my voting power intact on tribes upon which I focus.
The other bad thing was that I didn't meet the guidelines for this week and I am far away from the monthly goals for HIVE and HBD. I didn't actually try very hard, given the market conditions.
But there were very positive aspects as well.
One thing I described here, and it refers to how profitable Listnerds turns out to be, without being the main focus of its business model, which is marketing, building audiences and networking.
Last season on Splinterlands I reached Champions League with 3 days and a bit before the end of season. I was really happy back then because it hadn't happen in a really long time so early in the season.
Well, now it has happened again, only this time with 5 and a bit days before the EOS. Another record-breaking for me lately! Which is fun, and it also gave me the opportunity to rent out my entire deck on the playing account for a few days. Obviously, I'll take enough of it back at the EOS for the collection power, to keep my league and rewards. EDIT: Interesting thing to note: I have 3850 CP from gladiators.
And I know I've said the HIVE goal isn't looking good - and it doesn't - but still the 20% mark for the yearly goal has been passed this week. Which is a nice round number that deserves noticing.
Let's see how the social targets are this week, since I missed my post yesterday and that is a driver of serious engagement usually.
I started the week with 6839 comments and 7055 replies.
The numbers on hivebuzz.me/@gadrian show that I reached 6932 comments and 7148 replies. That means 93 comments and 93 replies. Still above my targets of 81 comments and 76 replies weekly, which is great!
Looks like my social targets are more realistic than my financial ones. Maybe even a bit under evaluated, but they need to take into account periods when I might not communicate as much or missing days like yesterday.
