When I set my savings goal earlier this year to have over 1000 HBD in my Savings Wallet I thought I would be victorious in the end, but sometimes not everything goes as planned. This is not a complaint at all because I still managed to save an amount that is close to it and I am happy about that. Participating in the Saturday Savers Club is already a habit for me and today, on our last Saturday of the year, I am making my last deposit of 2024, which is not the last chronologically but is still firm in its purpose to contribute a grain of sand to my small savings 😃.
Cuando a principios de este año había fijado mi objetivo de ahorro en tener más de 1000 HBD en mi Savings Wallet pensé que llegaría victoriosa al final, pero a veces no todo sale como planeamos. Para nada esto es una queja porque de todos modos logré ahorrar una cantidad que se acerca bastante y estoy feliz por eso. Participar del Saturday Savers Club ya es un hábito para mí y hoy, en nuestro último sábado del año, hago mi último depósito de 2024, que no es el último cronológicamente pero sigue firme en su propósito de aportar un grano de arena a mis pequeños ahorros 😃.
I started my year with over 682 HBD in my Saving Wallet, having successfully completed my 2023 annual savings challenge in a timely manner. But at the beginning of the year I made a withdrawal of about half the amount because I had to pay for some trips I wanted to do. Subsequently, I continued with the deposits normally but about halfway through the year I had to make withdrawals again because I needed to make a loan to my sister and also to pay for another trip, which in relative terms meant having to start this year's challenge all over again. The destination of this money was not very clear this time, I just like to have it just in case and it served its purpose perfectly 😃.
Empecé mi año con más de 682 HBD en mi Saving Wallet, después de haber completado satisfactoriamente y en tiempo y forma mi desafío de ahorro anual 2023. Pero a principio de año hice un retiro por masomenos la mitad del monto porque tenía que pagar algunos paseos que quería hacer. Posteriormente, continué con los depósitos normalmente pero masomenos a mitad de año tuve que volver a hacer retiros porque necesitaba hacer un préstamo a mi hermana y también para pagar otro viaje, lo que en términos relativos significó tener que volver a empezar el desafío de este año. El destino de este dinero no estuvo muy claro esta vez, solo me gusta tenerlo por si acaso y cumplió perfectamente su función 😃.
Having to start the savings challenge again from the middle of the year was something that until today, the last Saturday of the year, I cannot ‘recover’ from. Absolutely speaking, I know I can generate those amounts with my blog luckily, but since these earnings are my main income while I'm on nomadic travel, I can't afford to save 100% of my payouts. At the moment, today I was able to make the payout for Saturday 12 October this year, bringing my total to 845,531 HBD 😃.
Tener que empezar con el desafío de ahorro nuevamente desde mitad de año fue algo de lo que hasta hoy, último sábado del año, no puede volver a "recuperarme". Hablando de forma absoluta, sé que esos montos los puedo generar con mi blog por suerte, pero desde que estas ganancias son mi ingreso principal mientras estoy de viaje nómade, no me puedo permitir ahorrar el 100% de mis payouts. Por el momento, hoy pude hacer el pago correspondiente al sábado 12 de octubre de este año, reuniendo así un total de 845,531 HBD 😃.
I am still more than 150 HBD short of my target for this year, but my plan is to continue with the remaining deposits next year until the end of this 2024 cycle. This puts me well behind schedule, but this time I also have an additional payment for my work on the Worldmappin curation, so hopefully this will get me closer to my target and the end of this year's savings challenge. The good thing is that as this is already a habit for me, it is clear to me that I want to finish it without fail 😅.
Todavía me faltan más de 150 HBD para llegar a mi objetivo de este año, pero mi plan es continuar con los depósitos que me faltan el año que viene hasta terminar este ciclo 2024. Esto me atrasa bastante el esquema, pero esta vez también cuento con un pago adicional por mi trabajo para la curación de Worldmappin, así que espero con eso acercarme más rápido a mi objetivo y al final del desafío de ahorro de este año. Lo bueno es que como esto ya es una costumbre para mí, tengo bien claro que quiero concluirlo sin falta 😅.
So, my deposits for next year will be a little out of date, but I will do my best to complete all payments. Lately, I've been keeping a pretty tight rein on my spending, balancing it so that it doesn't limit me from doing the things I want to do. Another habit I got into is to write down all the money I use on a daily basis, to better understand my personal finances and adjust if necessary. I think I am on the right track, and although I still don't have a reserve of 1000 HBD, I know I did my best and I will have it soon 😃.
Entonces, mis depósitos del año que viene estarán algo desfasados, pero voy a hacer todo lo posible para completar todos los pagos. Últimamente, tengo un control bastante estricto sobre mis gastos, haciendo un equilibrio en que esto no me limite a hacer las cosas que quiero hacer. Otro hábito que adquirí es anotar todo el dinero que uso diariamente, para entender mejor mis finanzas personales y ajustar algo si es necesario. Creo que voy por buen camino, y aunque todavía no tengo una reserva de 1000 HBD, sé que hice mi mejor esfuerzo y que pronto la tendré 😃.
