Chinese history and culture have been significantly influenced by dragons for thousands of years. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the dragon is a major symbol in both the Chinese Lunar Calendar and the Zodiac cycle. It is the lone legendary mythical animal in the Zodiac cycle, and the Year of the Dragon is the fifth in the 12-year cycle.
2024 Rwanda Silver Lunar Ounce: Year of the Dragon
The Chinese culture has viewed dragons as symbols of strength, power, and good fortune. Imperial authority is symbolized by them, and they are linked to the Emperor, who was regarded as the "Son of the Dragon."
The reverse of the 2024 1 oz Silver Lunar Dragons depicts a left-profile relief of the Chinese dragon. Chinese dragons are frequently portrayed as intelligent, kind, and luck-bringing animals. Because they are thought to live for thousands of years, they are also connected to longevity.

The 2024 Rwandan Silver Lunar Dragon Coins' obverse features the country's coat of arms. This pattern has a classic basket with sorghum and coffee branches on either side. There are typical warrior shields beyond the agricultural branches, and in the distant field is a cogwheel.
This is the eighth in the series of Lunar Ounce coins. Rwanda started the Lunar Ounce Coin Series in 2017 with the Year of the Rooster. They did not wait for the Year if the Mouse to start the series, which, I think, worked to their advantage.
These are the coins. The design features a mosaic stylized animals, which have a beautiful and modern appearance.
