Monthly Recap - 1st June 2024 edition [En-Pt]

Good afternoon, everyone!

As has been customary since last year, on the first day of each month I take part of my day to analyze the data that I easily obtain from various platforms that provide us with clear and legible figures.

Since I'm not a finance person, and much less literate in numbers and economics or management, every little gain seems fantastic to me. This is because, if we look closely, what other platform, when we share content, with some degree of quality, has the valuation of our accounts, which are not at all controlled by an all-powerful “God”, who can cancel the accounts, but by users like us, who depending on their valuation, tip the scales towards the content that has the highest quality.

In a system that could almost approach perfect democracy, we are all responsible for what we write, vote on or even validate, making us an important part of the whole ecosystem.

Unfortunately, and all too often, I hear a lot of excuses from my acquaintances about joining this adventure, where instead of just having a set of followers who can actually contribute to our knowledge, the content we share with the community can also return interesting earnings in a cryptocurrency of its own?

It's been a long time since I've seen something that can guarantee an APR gain equal to 20% like we see in the savings product!

I see with better eyes all the effort and dedication I put into this community, which is returned to me, whether in knowledge, entertainment or engagement!

So let's talk a bit about numbers on June 1st (International Children's Day!). Are you celebrating the day in a special way? Although I'm not in charge of a child, on this day, and for 14 years now, I have reason to celebrate... And that's because, fourteen years ago today, I became the owner of a humble apartment. It's nothing special, and in theory it's not mine yet, since I'm paying my bank in installments, but I see it as one of the best financial investments I've made. The currency, the Euro, has been suffering some devaluation, and added to the strong inflation felt throughout the Eurozone, being a co-owner of a property can bring some advantages (in the future). But as with everything, there is always a downside.

The taxes you pay, as well as the contributions to the condominium, and the hassles you sometimes have with some neighbors, can be the downside of the coin.

The fact that you can't just move house from one month to the next is one of the less positive factors in this decision. I still have a few years to go before I finish paying off the debt, but I'm hoping that once I've finished paying it off, I'll be able to take the extra money I'll have left over at the end of the month to reinvest in something else... who knows, maybe another property!

But for now, let me recap the month of May. In this month (which I personally like very much, as it's when we see nature awakening in all its splendor and preparing for summer), I managed to increase my reputation by 0.49. I know it's not much, but every increase should be celebrated, don't you think?

I also got a 30% increase in my Hive Power! That left me just 43 Hp short of the 5000 HP I was aiming for in December 2023 (link)

In my HBD savings, an increase of 43% since January looks very promising indeed, and with a view to one day having enough to earn a passive income close to 2k... I won't give up on this goal!

Boa tarde, a todos!

Como tem sido habitual, e já desde o ano passado, no primeiro dia de cada mês, tomo uma parte do meu dia, para analisar os dados que facilmente obtenho de várias plataformas que nos fornecem os números de forma clara e legível.

Não sendo eu uma pessoa da área financeira, e muito menos letrado em números e economia ou gestão, todo o pequeno ganho me parece fantástico. Isto porque, se formos bem a ver, qual é a outra plataforma, que ao partilharmos conteúdo, com algum grau de qualidade, temos a valorização das nossas contas, que não são de todo controladas por um "Deus" todo o poderoso, que pode cancelar as contas, mas por utilizadores como nós, que dependendo da sua valorização, fazem pender o ponteiro da balança para os conteúdos que tem maior qualidade.

Num sistema, que poderá quase aproximar-se de uma perfeita democracia, todos nós somos responsáveis pelo que escrevemos, votamos, ou mesmo validamos, tornando-nos uma importante parte de todo o ecossistema.

Infelizmente, e muito frequentemente, eu oiço muitas desculpas, por parte dos meus conhecidos, em relação a juntarem-se a esta aventura, onde em vez de apenas terem um conjunto de seguidores, que podem de facto contribuir para o nosso conhecimento, o conteúdo que partilhamos com a comunidade, pode também retornar interessantes ganhos numa criptomoeda própria?

Não via há muito tempo algo que pudesse garantir um ganho em APR igual a 20% tal como vemos no produto de poupança!

Vejo, cada vez com melhores olhos, todo o esforço e dedicação que entrego a esta comunidade, e que me é devolvido, quer em conhecimento, entretenimento, ou engajamento!

Vamos então falar um pouco de números neste dia 1 de Junho (dia Internacional da Criança!). Estão a celebrar o dia de forma especial? Apesar de eu não ser encarregue de uma criança, neste dia, e desde há 14 anos, tenho motivos para o celebrar... E isto porque, faz hoje catorze anos que me tornei proprietário de um humilde apartamento. Não é nada de especial, e na teoria ainda não é meu, visto que o estou a pagar em prestações ao meu banco, mas vejo como um dos melhores investimentos financeiros que fiz. A moeda, Euro, tem vindo a sofrer alguma desvalorização, e a adicionar à forte inflação sentida em toda a zona Euro, ser co-proprietário de um imóvel, pode trazer algumas vantagens (no futuro). Mas como em tudo, há sempre um lado negativo.

Os impostos que se pagam, bem como as contribuições para o condomínio, e as chatices que por vezes temos com algum vizinhos, podem ser o lado menos bom da moeda.

O facto de não podermos simplesmente mudar de casa, de um mês para o outro, é um dos factores menos positivos nesta decisão. Ainda me faltam alguns anos para terminar o pagamento da dívida, mas conto que assim que tenha terminado esse pagamento, que consiga pegar no dinheiro extra que me sobrará ao fim do mês para reinvestir em algo mais... quem sabe se não noutro imóvel!

Mas por agora, vou fazer então a recapitulação do mês de Maio. Neste mês (que eu pessoalmente muito gosto, pois é quando vemos a natureza a despertar em todo o seu esplendor e a preparar-se para o Verão), consegui aumentar a minha reputação por 0.49. Bem sei que não é muito, mas toda a subida deve ser festejada, não acham?

Obtive também um incremento de aproximadamente 30% no meu Hive Power! O que me deixou apenas a 43 Hp dos 5000 HP que tinha como meta em Dezembro de 2023 (link)

Nas minhas poupanças em HBD, um incremento de 43% desde janeiro, parece de facto muito promissor, e tendo sempre em vista, um dia conseguir ter a quantidade suficiente para conseguir obter um rendimento passivo perto de 2k... Não vou deixar de ter esta meta!
