Let's go hivers, and have some hiking as I want to burn the stored calories and cholesterol within me. It is quite a long journey to achieve my goal but slowly I can.
As I gained weight and get older, I realized that I need to exercise more often to keep my health on track. I need to consider this plan together with my daughters in order for us to be physically healthy.
Trying to find time during the weekends, I pursued my plans to go hiking. I know that by doing this, I can gradually eliminate the excess in my body. I used to walk in nearby places, but this time I traveled to a distant mountain.
Exercising alone is boring so I let my daughters go with me. They are always sitting at home playing gadgets while not breaking a sweat. I encouraged them to walk and come with me.
We are heading to Little Batanes @Caduawan, Tabogon, Cebu. It is a beautiful place for hiking and camping with friends. Motorcycles can go all the way to the top of the mountain, but we chose to walk because we have the goal of exercising our body.
Going up to the mountain requires more strength and energy. Slowly, my daughters and I tried to step on the road safely. There is nothing to worry about in going there because the way is wide and accessible.
The view is surrounded by green grass that provides relaxation to our eyes. The abundance of fresh air touching our skin and hair gives us a fresh feeling as we climb up to the top.
What a beautiful view at the top of the mountain! We can see the lowland side of Tabogon, the sea, the land part of San Remegio, and the other surrounding islands. We really enjoyed reaching the top; it seems like we can almost touch the sky.
We allowed ourselves to inhale the fresh air and take a rest for a while. We sat down in the unfinished nipa hut as we give comfort to ourselves. We were there in the afternoon around 4 PM, and the sun was still shining brightly, making the day bright.
Hikers and campers can rent this nipa hut (payag) for an overnight stay, where they can find peace and complete relaxation. Anyone can visit the place for free.
We stayed there for an hour, and then we decided to go down because it was time for cooking dinner. It took us an hour to walk before we reached our house.
The three of us want to continue our long-distance walking next time. We may feel a little exhausted, but I'm sure it strengthens our muscles and keeps us invigorated, making our day complete.
It was indeed a beautiful natural area, with a wide space for walking. It is good to walk early in the morning and late in the afternoon.
We should give time not only to our physical appearance but also to our physical health. It is not too late to start improving your physical fitness through walking or jogging, which can keep our bodies healthy.
