Traditional thinking on investment strategy has always been that during the period of growth, or during bullish markets, more profits are made. In the crypto space, however, it may paradoxically be correct to say that real profits come from bear markets. Almost anyone who has ever dealt with crypto knows the general meaning of a bull and a bear market. For those who may not know, a bull market is onethat keeps moving upward, with increased buying action leading to a hike in prices. A bear market, on its part, is just the opposite of the conditions that define a bull market: continuously falling prices, hence declining investor confidence.
These basic definitions apply to each and every cryptocurrency, be it a new coin or an older crypto; all experience a fair share of bull and bear market cycles. While most people know, during a bear market, many profitable opportunities can be found. Boldly speaking, one might say that in crypto investing, the real profits are made during these challenging times. Why do I say so? Let's look at the reasons for this.
First, bear markets give everyone an opportunity to buy low. A good number of crypto investors buy into the principle of "buy low, sell high". As prices keep plummeting during a bear market, crypto investors are presented with opportunities to fill their bags with assets at much lower prices compared to in bullish trends. In this period, you are buying before the herd arrives-those with the money that push the bull back to action.
What happened here was that you already made your profit by buying at a much lower price, and can forecast how much you are going to make before the herd with their money came to the market, which leads to "FOMO" in turn fora price rise. The bull market return, therefore, is a period to cash out the profits from your investments.
Second, the downturn gives you a reason to take a step back and really re-evaluate your strategy. Investing in crypto is all about strategy, and bull markets are fraught with rush buying due to FOMO. This bear market allows you to slow down, reflect, and reconsider your investment strategy, thus choosing wiser investments.
Third, bear markets are actually a sort of 'cleaning period' for cryptocurrencies. This is an obvious fact in the crypto space. Normally, bear market periods are filled with FUD: fear, uncertainty, and doubt. However, they also weed out weak and shitty projects, leaving only the strongest cryptos and their communities and givinginvestors a cleaner, more profitable space on which to play.
Finally, bear markets offer opportunities for investments with long-term visions, since they favor a shift away from speculative, short-term trading to a focus on long-term, leading valuable coins.
Making profits during such bear markets, however, is quite different from the usual approach people use in the case of a bull market. It involves the buying and holding of an asset, in return, patiently waiting until the market swings upward in order to sell and bring your profits home
It is also important to note that this is a very volatile and quite risk-laden crypto market. While it can be a potential platform on which you can gain hugely, the need to exercise extreme caution cannot be ruled out when investing in a bearish market, ensuring that your due diligence is carried out. range 52-62
In a nutshell, bear markets are not the crypto profit killer they have been painted to be. They can give way to more sizable and sustainable profits than those in bull markets. But it takes patience, fortitude, and a clarified investing mindset to tap into these hidden treasures in the bear market landscape
