This is the third part of my solo travel experience "series." If you are interested in reading about my Baguio trip, read it here. Or if you are interested about my Day 1 in La Union, you may read it here.
Okay! Day 2!
I started my day by going directly to the beach area early in the morning. I walked around, took photos, and eventually stayed in the restaurant of the resort, which was also a beachfront. There, I drank my taho while updating my journal.

While I was there, there were several times when some surf instructors would persuade me to do surfing lessons, but I wasn't feeling very comfortable nor confident to do it yet. But I won't be lying... it has lingered in my head for quite some time. I kept on weighing my decision until the sun fully rose already, and I found it too hot to stay under the sun in the middle of the ocean. haha I later packed my things and went back to my room.
I am not really a foodie and I have certain food preferences, so deciding on where to eat was one of my challenges during this trip. Haha. I decided to try the Veggie Kare-kare in Miryinda, but they were closed when I went there. Apparently, a lot of shops or stores are closed in La Union on Wednesdays. This led me to another nearby cafe called, Karruba Cafe and Bakery. Good thing, they also offer rice meals. So for my lunch, I ordered their Sizzling Spicy Salmon (but I requested not to make it too spicy haha).

I had a very cute and wholesome interaction with a random child here! I think the boy was around 4 or 5 years old, and he was also dining in Karruba with his parents. At first, we were just smiling at each other and kinda playing silently through our facial expressions. But eventually, he took a seat across me and we talked about his trip and some whales. Haha. When his parents called him to go back to their spot, he whined, "But, I'm going to miss Ate [me]." Hahahaha Sooo adorable!
After my lunch, I went back to my accommodation. I stayed in the beach area for a while, as I tried to read a book. After a number of pages, I closed my eyes and actually fell into like a 2-minute nap. HAHA. But TBH, it was really hot to stay by the shore for long, so I went back to my room as I thought of what I should do for the rest of the day. Haha
I decided to visit the Great Northwest, where some famous food and drinks in LU are located. But just like Miryinda, there were closed that day also. So I just walked back to my accommodation, making a short stop in a cutesy-artsy shop, where I bought some souvenirs. Hihi

I ended up just chilling in my room, until it was time for me to get ready for the class that I booked for myself! Will talk more about it in the next post, so stay tuned.
See you in the next one!
Take care!
