Llegué tarde,

él no sabía que estaba allí.

Ignorando el *tic-tac*

de ese reloj que nadie mira,

lloré desconsoladamente.

Era tarde y lo sabía,

y en la angustiosa llama

del ingrato silencio,

volví a cabalgar

sobre aquellas sábanas de corazones.

Era tarde y,

con esa sinfonía triste,

volví a llorar,

desconsoladamente.

Amaba a otra

y lo sabía.

I arrived late,

he didn’t know I was there.

Ignoring the *tick-tock*

of that clock no one watches,

I wept inconsolably.
