This is a great book that takes you to live an experience from the life of its main character, a young man who dreams of achieving success and receives from a friend all the necessary information full of wisdom to achieve it. These little tips are encrypted in 10 scrolls because the work is set in an ancient time where a very rich man wants to transmit to his disciple all the secrets that generated his wealth, the content of the scrolls are not techniques or methods, as these are constantly changing over time, they are principles that remain and can be applied in any aspect of life, in fact, the principles are those that form the character of a person deriving from them their behavior in all areas of life.
This book is very easy to read, but I do not recommend that you do it at speed, it is designed to reflect on your own life and leave in your soul the same seed that the author sowed in his main character. The author uses motivational phrases and affirmations for mental reprogramming that by putting them into practice and making them part of your personal principles you are highly likely to achieve success in your life.

This is the most important principle of all, Mr. Patros who is the father figure who serves as the adoptive father and also the boss of Hafid the main character of the play insists that you must internalize the first scroll to move forward and that the others are derived from this.
Today I begin a new life
In this chapter Hafid appropriates a new language determining that it will be his new birth before life, changing patterns and bad habits for good habits being positive and choosing a life full of good opportunities, recognizing that those who failed are those who were not willing to pay the price for success, he will be successful and this will be his reward for the struggle he won.
Every day people have an internal struggle, our worst enemy is bad habits, having bad routines or not having them, those small details that are repeated daily are the ones that lead us to failure. Changing a bad habit requires willpower, perseverance, and perseverance. Once we have observed and identified our bad habits, we have to replace them one by one with good habits, with patience.
In this part of the book, Hafid puts pressure on himself thinking that time teaches everything, but he does not have a lifetime to learn, he must act fast because he does not have eternity, however, he recognizes that he must act with patience to see the results of his new habits, for example, if before I did not exercise and I want to achieve a toned body the first thing I must do is to make the decision to change, then choose an exercise routine and practice them every day, knowing that if I have extra kilos it will take time to be in my ideal weight and then toned, make an exercise routine a habit without losing motivation.
The definition of success may be different from one person to another, however, the concept of failure is the same for everyone, a failed person is one who was unable to achieve their goals in life.
The unsuccessful person did not set goals, or never planned clear objectives for those goals, therefore, he did not have routines or good habits that would lead him to succeed in them, wasting his time, wandering among his bad habits.
I will form good habits and be a slave to them

I will greet this day with love in my heart
In this chapter the writer invites us to live in a constant attitude of gratitude and that we value everything we have and everything that happens to us, it is the most beautiful of all the chapters raising the feeling of love as the best weapon to overcome any obstacle, with love and gratitude we can achieve everything since our behavior will be focused on seeing the good things over the bad, it will make us more noble and humble getting through with our gestures and actions the hearts of others.
We must thank the sun. It warms our bones, loves the rain because it cleans our soul and waters our crops, love the light because it shows us the way, loves the darkness because it allows us to see the stars, love the good moments because they make us happy, and also love the bad moments and obstacles because they allow us to grow.
In this part we are also taught to love with all our senses be grateful for what we see, to express ourselves with words of love towards others including our enemies, to praise them to turn them into friends, words of love for friends will turn them into brothers, and when I feel the need to criticize I will bite my tongue and when I am inspired by some action to praise I will shout it to the 4 winds, are some tips that the author of this book gives us.
I cannot love the world and others if I do not love myself first, so I will love myself by watching everything that enters my body, mind, and heart, that is, from now on I will eat healthy food, eliminate the vices that harm my health such as cigarettes or tobacco, alcohol, games that unbalance my economy and my mental state, I will try to see productive things for my being, I will listen to positive and optimistic people, I will stay away from intrigues, gossip, bad feelings such as hate, anger, resentment, envy, lust, laziness.
I have no time to hate, I only have time to love.
Without love, I will fail, even if I possess all the knowledge and skills in the world.

I will persist until I succeed
Persist and keep trying in the face of failure, this is how I know it forms the character of a successful person and it is the quality of persistence that is most important in achieving success, most people fail to succeed not because of a lack of talent but because of their lack of persistence when the going gets tough.
In this part of the book, the author emphasizes the power of thoughts and how they affect when the body is physically and mentally exhausted after several failures, so he recommends eliminating from the vocabulary words or phrases such as I withdraw, I can not, it is impossible, I am a failure, I have no hope because they are words that affect our image weakening the will, the positive internal language goes together with the quality of perseverance to achieve the goals.
In addition, we must be clear that failure is part of success. Tomas Alba Edison is said to have failed 1000 or 10,000 times before perfecting the light bulb or incandescent lamp.
Napoleon Hill was an American writer who said the following about thoughts:
Thoughts are very powerful things when combined with the accuracy of purpose, perseverance, and an imperious desire to convert them into wealth, or other material objects.
And to conclude with these 3 scroll it is propitious to recall another quote from Lao Tzu.
Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.
Therefore, my thoughts generate my words which will become my actions which in turn will become my habits and they will form my character and I will know that even if I fail frequently if I continue to persist my destiny will be to succeed.
I must fail often to succeed once.

I am the greatest miracle of nature
Unique and unrepeatable, there is no person like me in all the earth or in all the history of mankind, there will never be someone like me, not even having a twin brother, he may physically resemble me, his voice may resemble mine, but he will not be like me so I must take advantage of that uniqueness in me to highlight and develop that which makes me unique.
To imitate another person is a suicide, it is to murder my own greatness, to envy another is ignorance of what I am, what I have, and what I can be capable of.

I will live this day as if it were the last day of my life.
Imagine you only have one day to live, what would you do on that day, would you waste a minute with complaints and regrets or thinking about the past about what you could have done and did not do, of course not, I think I would run to hug my loved ones, tell them how much I love them and thank them for being in my life, I would take a few minutes to dance and also seek a moment of solitude to be in contact with nature, I would look for a minute of peace and contemplation.
If we would live reflecting that today is our last day of life, we would live to the fullest accepting all invitations, grabbing all opportunities, not even the pandemic with the COVID virus has made us live thinking that we have a limited time and that we do not know if this time ends tomorrow, from now on I will assimilate this scroll as true and I will try to live and enjoy my day because tomorrow is not guaranteed.
I will live this day as if it were the last of my existence. And if it is not, I will fall to my knees and give thanks.

Today I will be master of my emotions
Whoever controls his emotions will be the owner of his life and his destiny, this is known as emotional intelligence and is the ability to think before acting, changing our actions by stopping for a moment to breathe and modify the negative thoughts for better ones that are aligned with the objectives and goals that we have already set. The person who acts on impulses usually makes mistakes and what is done is done.
Being in balance is the best way to move forward in life, the author presents it in these phrases.
If I feel depressed, I will sing.
If I feel sad, I will laugh.
If I feel sick, I will redouble my work.
If I feel afraid, I will throw myself forward.
If I feel inferior, I will wear new clothes.
If I feel insecure, I will raise my voice.
If I feel poverty, I will think of future wealth.
If I feel incompetent, I will remember past successes.
If I feel insignificant, I will remember my goals.
Today I will own my emotions.
Og Mandino
I will also remember that balance is to have emotions in the right measure and I will be alert when my ego grows too big so at that moment I will remember the following words that the author gives me in this scroll.
If overconfidence takes hold of me, I will remember my failures.
If I am inclined to overindulge in the good life, I will remember past hunger.
If I feel complacent, I will remember my competitors.
If I enjoy moments of greatness, I will remember moments of shame.
If I feel all-powerful, I will try to stop the wind.
If I achieve great riches, I will remember a hungry mouth.
If I feel excessively proud, I will remember a moment of weakness.
If I think my skill is unmatched, I will gaze at the stars.
Today I will be master of my emotions.
Og Mandino
This part of the book invites us to control emotions and learn about tolerance knowing that other people are also emotional beings and probably do not have the wisdom or knowledge of the secret of the scrolls, I will understand and recognize the moods of others, tolerate their anger and irritation, resist insults and not judge others for a single action because they may also change tomorrow.
I think this is the most difficult part to assimilate and fulfill since it is about transforming our thoughts and actions about the situations we are presented with.

I will laugh at the world
To look at things with a sense of humor is to give us joy, I will laugh at my failures, my mistakes and when sadness wants to take over my thoughts I will pronounce a few words as a mantra that will remind me that everything changes, that nothing is eternal and I will continue to look for reasons to laugh and be happy, in my darkest moments I will repeat:
This too shall pass.

Today I will multiply my value by one hundred, by the way
This means that we must set daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and lifetime goals, as we reach these goals and we reach the goal then we must draw new goals a little more ambitious, if yesterday I exceeded what I planned then today I can be better and achieve the goal faster or better.
Scroll number 9
I will proceed right now
No matter how good a dream or idea is it will not be achievable without action, once we have the conviction of an idea we have to move to achieve it. So I will stop procrastinating I will do it right now, to multiply my value I will multiply my action.
You want to be good at something, so practice, practice, practice, practice.
Scroll number 10
I will pray for direction and guidance
Regardless of your religious beliefs, all beings in the world raise prayers with the faith that they will be heard and answered, but sometimes asking is not enough we must know how to do it and in this scroll the author does not say that we should never pray to ask for the material things of this world, a house, a car, a trip, a yacht or a plane this is a mistake we must ask for guidance to get it ourselves, if we are given the guidance and presented with the path and opportunities we have everything to proceed, move and get those material things that will help us to live comfortably.
After reading this scroll I sat for a long time to consider my form of prayer, I evaluated my principles and my beliefs, especially after reading the following paragraph:
I will never pray to ask for the material things of this world. I am not calling a servant to bring me food. I am not commanding an innkeeper or waiter to provide me with the room. I will never ask for gold, or love, or good health, or petty victories, or fame, or success, or happiness.
Og Mandino
This part of the book made me question many of my beliefs, I understand that money is something material and in terms of spirituality it is okay not to ask for it (I am not against asking for money, it does not make me less spiritual), just as success depends on our actions and happiness is a personal decision that must be made every day because excluding love and health in this request, why not ask God for it?
The book does not give answers to this question and in all the content of the book it was the only part that caused me kind of blockage, I hope that time will help me find the answer while I will pray for guidance to reach my goals.

This is the only book I have read by this author and I didn't know about the existence of the second part until I researched to do this review, I also believe 22 other works and I will probably read the continuation of this one.
This book has beautiful poetic language like no other book I have read. Reading my review, listening to summaries of this book on YouTube, or even listening to an audiobook will not give you even ten percent of the satisfaction of reading it yourself, it is a wonderful work in which I am sure that the author received divine help for its creation, there are so many messages that this book has that in each new reading are discovered, this is the second time that I do it especially to make the review to the community of the book in hive and this time I got new things that in the first one went unnoticed, my desire is to put into practice all the scrolls and if life catches up with me I want to read it again in the future.
