Dis This follows the previous Diarrhea of a Creative - The Monster of Disco, where I wrote about the feeling of disco(nnect) and how it seems to be easier to connect to kids than to adults ( for me ).
In the last two days, I have been feeling inspired to work on a new book and, possibly, my first (actual) children's book ( something I have been considering and trying my hands on for 15 years or so ).
'The Monster of Disco' will be its protagonist and the book's title.
As per usual, I am sharing my creative process,
to not further increase the growing disco nnect between us adults ;^)
As I am not a ( disco ) dancer myself, sharing my creations and receiving feedback, gives me the necessary fuel to keep going. It's ons way to keep me connected to the wider world.
Here's some thoughts I penned down:
A story about being in the flow and feeling connected.
When the monster of disco wasn't dancing, it often felt disco nnected, like other monsters didn't understand it.
It tried break dancing
but that didn't help much.
It felt too fragmented
but pole dancing...
was whole dancing...
close to the pole, it was in touch with the whole...
TO BE (DIS)CO NTINUED...
P.S. Due to having worked on the Hypersensitivosaurus universe for about 4 years now and this idea sprouting from that, the monster of disco is a dino/ raptor for the time being. It might ( still ) shapeshift though...
