Very rarely in this community do we need to call attention to our users, but there are times when it is necessary. And today, unfortunately, we have found ourselves in the need to make this post, in which we want to expose some bad practices, which we hope all Plant Power (Vegan) users avoid. We have decided to publish this, due to an irregular and disappointing situation that recently occurred in the community. Below, you can read posts similar to this one, which we have done before:
It is sad to see that even with all the effort, dedication, attention and care that we give to our users, still, some of them (very few, in fact), cheat. It is true that we are not infallible, so it is possible that these users have previously cheated and we did not see that, but eventually, we will detect these irregularities and the corresponding consequences will occur, and obviously, disappointment and loss of trust.
We do not want to expand on more bitter comments, since it is not our intention to generalize, nor to enter into a cycle of lamentations that do not produce anything positive; so below, we proceed to point out some bad practices in Hive, which, as we said before, we hope our users do not incur in:
- Plagiarism (in photos and text): It consists of copying and presenting as your own, the creations of another person, without recognizing the respective authorship. At Plant Power (Vegan) we do not accept text or photos from third parties. This leads to a complaint to the Hive Watchers and the definitive expulsion of users who plagiarize.
- Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI): In this particular community, we find it unfortunate that users produce content using this technology. Perhaps in other communities or other ecosystems, it is a permitted practice, but not in Plant Power (Vegan). There is nothing more beautiful and authentic than presenting gastronomic content from your own experience and through personal experience, not something produced by a series of algorithms.
- Paraphrasing: It consists of modifying the wording of text made by another person and saying that it is your own. It is an easy practice to detect with specialized tools, which we can use multiple times, that is, we do not rely on a single tool, but rather we use several, contrasting the results obtained. This type of tool also allows us to detect plagiarism and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). At Plant Power (Vegan), we do not accept paraphrasing and it seems unusual to us that someone paraphrases text to make a food post, but we have already seen this. Obviously it also implies reporting to the Hive Watchers and the definitive expulsion of such users, since it is a form of plagiarism.
- Recycling content or reposting: It is also a practice that we have seen, and it consists of repeating publications and recipes that have been previously made and presenting them as new. In this sense, we strongly request that you document, research and review recipe books, in which you will find thousands of easy and affordable recipes to make. It is also unfortunately to see how some users make a slight modification of a recipe and present it several times, so we call on them to enrich their blogs, so that it is varied in content, not a perennial repetition of the same thing.
- Delete publications already made in other communities, and present them as new in this community, or vice versa: This practice does not require much explanation, since it consists of taking old publications, deleting them and republishing them as if it were the first time. We remind you that in Hive it is possible to see the editing history of all posts, including deletion. We have also detected this, we have reported and permanently expelled such users.
- Farming: It is a practice in which the same person manages several accounts and presents similar content in the same communities. There are times when the farmer does everything without help, and on other occasions, he uses his family and acquaintances to validate multiple accounts and monetize with them. We have previously detected this and have proceeded to report it to the Hive Watchers and permanently expel all the accounts involved, both the main and secondary ones.

Muy pocas veces en esta comunidad, requerimos hacer llamados de atención a nuestros usuarios, pero hay ocasiones en que es necesario. Y hoy, lamentablemente, nos hemos visto en la necesidad hacer este post, en el cual queremos exponer algunas malas prácticas, las cuales aspiramos que eviten todos los usuarios de Plant Power (Vegan). Hemos decidido publicar esto, debido a una situación irregular y decepcionante que se presentó recientemente en la comunidad. A continuación, pueden leer posts similares a este, que hemos hecho antes:
Es triste ver, que aún con todo el esfuerzo, dedicación, atención y cuidados que brindamos a nuestros usuarios, aun así, algunos de ellos (muy pocos, de hecho), hagan trampa. Es cierto que no somos infalibles, por lo que es posible, que estos usuarios previamente hayan hecho trampa y no vimos eso, pero eventualmente, sí detectaremos estas irregularidades y se producirán las consecuencias correspondientes, y obviamente, la decepción y pérdida de confianza.
No queremos extendernos en más comentarios amargos, pues no es nuestra intención generalizar, ni tampoco entrar en un ciclo de lamentaciones que no produzcan nada positivo; así que a continuación, procedemos a puntualizar algunas malas prácticas en Hive, que, como dijimos antes, aspiramos nuestros usuarios no incurran en estas.
- Plagio (en fotos y en texto): Consiste en copiar y presentar como propias, las creaciones de otra persona, sin reconocer la respectiva autoría. En Plant Power (Vegan) no aceptamos ni texto ni fotos de terceros. Esto acarrea denuncia ante los Hive Watchers y la expulsión definitiva de los usuarios que hagan plagio.
- Uso de Inteligencia Artificial (IA): En esta comunidad en particular, nos parece lamentable que los usuarios produzcan contenido empleando esta tecnología. Quizás en otras comunidades u otros ecosistemas, es una práctica permitida, pero no en Plant Power (Vegan). No hay nada más bonito y auténtico que presentar contenido gastronómico desde la propia experiencia y a través de la vivencia personal, no algo producido por una serie de algoritmos.
- Parafraseo: Consiste en modificar la redacción de texto hecho por otra persona y decir que es propio. Es una práctica fácil de detectar con herramientas especializadas, las cuales podemos utilizar de forma múltiple, o sea, no nos fiamos de una sola herramienta, sino que usamos varias, contrastando los resultados obtenidos. Este tipo de herramienta también permiten detectar el plagio y el uso de Inteligencia Artificial (IA). En Plant Power (Vegan), no aceptamos parafraseo y nos parece insólito que alguien parafrasee texto para hacer un post de comida, pero esto ya lo hemos visto. Obviamente también implica denuncia ante los Hive Watchers y la expulsión definitiva de tales usuarios, ya que es una modalidad de plagio.
- Reciclaje de contenido o reposteo: También es una práctica que hemos visto, y consiste en repetir publicaciones y recetas que se han hecho previamente y presentarlas como nuevas. En tal sentido, les solicitamos encarecidamente que se documenten, investiguen y revisen recetarios, en los cuales encontrarán miles de recetas fáciles y asequibles de hacer. También es lamentablemente ver cómo algunos usuarios hacen una ligera modificación de una receta y la presentan varias veces, por lo que les hacemos un llamado para que enriquezcan sus blogs, que sea variado en contenido, no una perenne repetición de lo mismo.
- Borrar publicaciones ya hechas en otras comunidades, y presentarlas como nuevas en esta comunidad, o viceversa: No requiere mucha explicación esta práctica, pues consiste en eso, tomar publicaciones viejas, borrarlas y republicarlas como si fuese la primera vez. Les recordamos que en Hive es posible ver el historial de edición de todos los posts, incluyendo el borrado. También hemos detectado esto, hemos denunciado y expulsado de forma definitiva a tales usuarios.
- Farming o farmeo: Es una práctica consistente en que una misma persona maneja varias cuentas y presenta similar contenido en las mismas comunidades. Hay ocasiones en las que el farmeador(a) lo hace todo sin ayuda, y en otras ocasiones, usa a sus familiares y conocidos, para darle validez a múltiples cuentas y monetizar con éstas. Esto lo hemos detectado previamente y hemos procedido a denunciar ante los Hive Watchers y a expulsar de forma definitiva a todas las cuentas implicadas, tanto la principal como las secundarias.
