When we talk about bananas, we know they can be turned into delicious dishes as well. Among the various types of bananas, alu kesal (ash plantains) hold a special placeβnot only for their unique taste but also for their rich nutritional value.
Today, letβs transform this simple ingredient into a warm, comforting dish that captures the essence of traditional cooking. Using everyday spices and coconut milk, this preparation becomes a perfect blend of flavor and nourishment.

Ingredients...
π Ash plantain 200g.
π 1 1/2 Cup of coconut milk.
π Curry leaves.
π About two pieces of cinnamon.
π 3 green chili pods.
π An onion.
π 1 Teaspoon of Chili powder.
π Salt as needed.
π 1/2 Teaspoon of curry powder.
π 1/2 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
π 1/2 teaspoon of Fenugreek seed.
π 1/2 Teaspoon of Mustard powder.
The cooking process as follows.
First, peel the ash plantains and cut them into round slices. Then, place the slices in salted water. At the same time, finely slice the onions and green chilies.
Next, take a cooking pot and add the sliced ash plantains into it. To that, add chili powder, turmeric powder, curry powder, fenugreek seeds, and goraka powder. Also, add the sliced onions, green chilies, cinnamon, and curry leaves. Mix everything well together.
Now place the pot on the stove and add some coconut milk. Let it cook for about 8 to 10 minutes until everything is well-cooked and the flavors are nicely blended.
