Being a Speaker in a certain forum whether in a small or in a big crowd is a gift.
For me, it is a challenge if I am chosen to be a Speaker or a Facilitator. I am not good at explaining my thoughts though I am a teacher by profession.
Facing a great crowd with great people is not as simple as may seem. But I need to conquer my fears for I don't have a choice.
This was my cluster, I belong to the Math 7 group. We were distributed by Subject in Grade 7. Since I took up a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (BSED) majoring in Mathematics. I also finished my Master's Degree with a course of Master of Science in Teaching (MST) majoring in Mathematics. I volunteered myself to be in a Math 7 cluster.
Since Tabogon District has only 8 Secondary Schools we only had 8 participants. I think the one who took the picture is the lucky number 8 😁.
We had a lot of activities for this five-day training. I learned from them as they learned from me too.
The success of the implementation of this new curriculum is dependent on the teachers on the front line. As a facilitator in this new curriculum, it is my task to deliver the new curriculum positively.
I was so grateful for my group. From the first day until the fifth day, they were all present and nobody came late.
For the group activity, they were all active and very participative. I felt honored and happy as they were my participants.
They gave me the confidence to develop my gift as a speaker. I thank God above all for the gift of knowledge and wisdom. As I know without God giving all of this I will not be able to finish the task entrusted to me with flying colors.
By the way aside from 8 participants that I had. We also had our PMT or Program Management Team. I was so grateful for them for they managed the whole during with ease. They made my task easier to handle for they were always there ready all the time.
MATATAG MATH 7 is a great Curriculum for a change. In this curriculum, there will be a mastery of the lesson for it was already decongested.
As an educator, I am hoping and praying that by the full swing of the implementation, there will be a great change for our young generation.
