Receive a warm hug at the beginning of the year, I wish that all your goals materialize. Grateful to God and the Universe to have received a new year with lots of life and health. Today I am here in this prestigious community to establish my version of what success means to me.

When we look for the definition of this word, in different sources, they make reference to a happy ending like in movies or soap operas, 😁😅🤣 I think that everyone has their own vision of success; and that is perfectly normal. For some it is the acquisition of many material or economic goods. For others it is simply peace of mind and tranquility in the heart or vice versa. There are many synonyms of success among them I can mention some words such as: victory, boom, triumph, honor, glory among others.

For my part I can say that for me success is determined by the fact that things go well, although not entirely well, because there are situations that are not in our hands, however **when everything flows in perfect harmony with the universe, without major evils for me is success.

Now, I can say that, from my point of view, one way of seeing success is given by the principles and values that parents teach their children, and these teach their children and so on generation after generation.

I faithfully believe that a person with values can live and coexist with whomever and wherever, I come from a family where that was the main tool that our parents taught us, they said that: "he who lives well, dies well " and that is very true. We could see it in his different funerals, many people accompanied us in that sad moment. For me it was the success.

On the other hand, I want to tell you that this Christmas we went on vacation to our hometown, La Sabana is its name; it is located on the coast of Vargas State (now La Guaira) in Venezuela. It is characterized by having a very friendly people, however, like all people treat well who treat them well, I make this remark because on several occasions we have required certain services, we have sought the people in charge to solve and they have attended us; something that has not happened with other native people of the town that even live there. For me it is a success.

To better illustrate the story I explain in detail the event that happened. It is a very large house, the same is not frequently inhabited, we live in the city, we usually go during the vacations of Carnival, Easter, August and December. However, since there have been many robberies in empty houses, we try to go more frequently before the vacations, that is to say, even once a month, to give it warmth and the respective maintenance.

The heat, the sun, the saltpeter, the humidity and all the onslaughts of the time, the nature and the same animals do their part in the deterioration of the same one, we must be always present for the maintenance of the same one. In that sense, the water tank broke on one side, it emptied leaving us without water on December 31😲😱😳 my sister and I urgently went out to look for the man in charge of the water service to repair them for us. 🏃🏃🏃🏃

Immediately after talking with him, he came with us and half repaired it that day, the next day January 01 he continued with the repair, since he took it down, glued it and we had to wait for it to dry to mount it again, a task he did on January 01.

While all this was going on, a neighbor who was in the house commented to us: "Oh girl, he does what he does for you," those were her words. To which my sister and I replied: "Everyone here complies with us; because we treat everyone well, just like my mom and dad did. This is the result of their harvest.

This same lady, days ago told us that she told her son not to charge us (every time we ask him to install the satellite TV antenna). To which my sister and I replied: "He doesn't charge us, but we pay him, because we have to honor and respect the time and work of others.

She with a sparkle in her eyes and with a lot of pride answered us there is Oscar answering (that was my dad's name, they were colleagues and compadres). **So for me that is success, respect and recognition from others.

Abraham Maslow, American psychologist manifests in the Pyramid of Human Needs; in one of its links highlights the need for recognition, that others recognize you and respect you for who you are and how you are. For your principles and values. That for me is success.

In that sense, I feel successful and proud of who I am, and how I am, the product of a good education, the result of excellent parents, good friends and co-workers; because the environment is part of the success you have as a human being.

To meet with people of good morals, values and principles. Learn from them what is good and multiply it in all areas where one develops, to continue strengthening interpersonal relationships and good living. I am used to do it in my classrooms, where I have received the affection and respect of my students and their representatives, as well as my co-workers.
That is success for me.

Reciban un caluroso abrazo de inicio de año, deseo que todas sus metas se materialicen. Agradecida con Dios y el Universo de haber recibido un nuevo año con mucha vida y salud. Hoy estoy por acá en esta prestigiosa comunidad para establecer mi versión de lo que significa el éxito para mí.

Cuando buscamos la definición de esta palabra, en diferentes fuentes, hacen referencia a un final feliz como en las películas o telenovelas, 😁😅🤣 pienso que cada quien tiene su visión de éxito; y eso es perfectamente normal. Para unos es la adquisición de muchos bienes materiales o económicos. Para otros es simplemente paz en la mente y tranquilidad en el corazón o viceversa. Existen muchos sinónimos de éxito entre ellos puedo mencionar algunas palabras tales como: victoria, auge, triunfo, honor, gloria entre otras.

Por mi parte puedo decir que para mí el éxito está determinado porque las cosas te salgan bien, aunque no del todo bien, porque hay situaciones que no están en nuestras manos, sin embargo cuando todo fluye en armonía perfecta con el universo, sin males mayores para mí es el éxito.

Ahora bien, puedo decir que, desde mi parcela una manera de ver el éxito viene dado por los principios y valores que los padres enseñan a sus hijos, y éstos a los suyos y así sucesivamente generación tras generación.

Yo creo fielmente que una persona con valores puede vivir y convivir con quien sea y donde sea, vengo de una familia donde esa fue la herramienta principal que nos enseñaron nuestros padres, ellos decían que: "quien bien vive, bien muere" y eso es muy cierto. Lo pudimos evidenciar en sus diferentes funerales, mucha gente nos acompañó en ese triste momento. Para mí fue el éxito.

Por otro lado, les quiero contar que estas navidades nos fuimos de vacaciones a nuestro pueblo natal, La Sabana es su nombre; está ubicado en la Costa del Estado Vargas (ahora La Guaira) en Venezuela. Se caracteriza por tener un gentilicio muy amable, sin embargo, como toda persona tratan bien a quien bien los traten, hago esta acotación porque en varias oportunidades hemos requerido de ciertos servicios, hemos buscado a las personas encargadas para solventar y nos han atendido; cosa que no ha sucedido con otras personas nativas del pueblo que inclusiven viven allá. Para mí es un éxito.

Para ilustrar mejor el cuento les explico detalladamente el evento sucedido. Es una casa muy grande, la misma no está habitada frecuentemente, vivimos en la ciudad, solemos ir en las vacaciones de Carnaval, Semana Santa, Agosto y Diciembre. Sin embargo, visto que han habido muchos robos en las casas vacías tratamos de ir con más frecuencia antes de las vacaciones, es decir anuque sea una vez al mes, para darle calor y los respectivos mantenimientos.

El calor, el sol, el salitre, la humedad y todos los embates del tiempo, la naturaleza y los mismos animales hacen su parte en el deterioro de la misma, debemos estar siempre presente para la manutención de la misma. En ese sentido, el tanque de agua se rompió por un lado, el mismo se vació dejándonos sin agua el propio 31 de diciembre😲😱😳 mi hermana y yo salimos urgentemente a buscar al señor encargado del servicio de agua para que nos los reparara. 🏃‍♀🏃‍♀ 🏃‍♀🏃‍♀

Acto seguido de conversar con él, se vino con nosotras y lo medio reparó ese día, al día siguiente 01 de enero continuó con la reparación, ya que lo bajó, lo pegó y había que esperar que se secara para montarlo nuevamente, tarea que hizo el 01 de enero.

Mientras todo esto ocurría, una vecina que estaba en la casa nos comentó: "Ay chica él a ustedes les cumple" esas fueron sus palabras. A lo que mi hermana y yo le respondimos: A nosotras todo el mundo aquí nos cumple; porque nosotras tratamos bien a todo el mundo, así como la hacían mi mamá y mi papá. Este es el resultado de su cosecha.

Esta misma señora, días atrás nos dijo que ella le decía a su hijo que no nos cobrara; (cada vez que lo solicitamos para que nos instale la antena de Televisión Satelital). A lo que le respondimos en esa oportunidad mi hermana y yo: "Él no nos cobra, pero nosotras le pagamos; porque hay que honrar y respetar el tiempo y el trabajo de los demás.

Ella con un brillo en los ojos y con mucho orgullo nos respondió ahí está respondiendo Oscar (así se llamaba mi papá, fueron colegas y compadres). Entonces para mí eso es el éxito, el respeto y el reconocimiento de los otros.

Abraham Maslow, psicólogo estadounidense manifiesta en la Pirámide de las Necesidades Humanas; en uno de sus eslabones resalta la necesidad de reconocimiento, que te reconozcan los otros y te respeten por quien eres y como eres. Por tus principios y tus valores. Eso para mí es el éxito.

En ese sentido, me siento exitosa y orgullosa de quien soy, y como soy, el producto de una buena educación, resultado de excelentes padres, buenos amigos y compañeros de trabajo; porque el entorno forma parte del éxito que se tiene como ser humano.

Reunirse con gente de buena moral, valores y principios. Aprender de ellas lo bueno y multiplicarlo en todos los ámbitos donde uno se desarrolla, para seguir fortaleciendo las relaciones interpersonales y el buen vivir. Acostumbro hacerlo en mis aulas de clases, donde he recibido el cariño y el respeto de mis estudiantes y sus representantes; además de mis compañeros de trabajo.
Eso es el éxito para mí.
