The last few weeks were the definition of chaos and madness. From 10+ hrs of work daily and barely one day free per week, to the results of the election we had for both the first tour of voting for the next president of Romania, but also for the parliament.
I've never been into politics. Neither I enjoy speaking about it.
But I've always known that I should dedicate some of my time to make research every 4-5 years when the next vote comes, just so I make the best choice. Sadly, this wasn't the case for a large population of Romania who got in the first place a very dangerous man, whose idol is Victor Putin. Some of his 'goals' for Romania, are to take this country out of NATO, stop supporting Ukraine, let Russia take both Ukraine and Moldavia, and then lay on the back thinking that he created a great friendship with Russia and his leader.
I don't think there is needed to bring any comments to his affirmations because I am sure you are pretty smart to realize this is only bulls*it and perhaps, the beginning of World War 3 pretty soon. This upcoming week we will have the final voting session to see who the next president of Romania will be, but until then I'll say that I am shocked, speechless, scared and worried that tomorrow will never come.
Based on these thoughts that kept my mind busy lately, I thought I'd dedicate one of my themed street art posts to show off more definitions of safety, so I hope you will enjoy at least one of my picks for today. This post is also going to take part in CCC's Street Art Contest #225!
The first graffiti and also one of my all-time favourites mixes more elements that give freedom of thinking to those passing by, such as: an ambulance, a kid, a crown, but also a chessboard. However, the story behind it was shared by the artist, who believes we are living in a society where everything we thought it's normal is slowly fading out. This is just one of the many murals taking part in the same collection of images made by the artist, showing how reality and childhood are slowly disappearing based on our wrong life decisions.

Next up, it's all about origins. From family to ancestors and from traditions to the actual place where we are currently living. I'd like to also add that this could easily show how our minds are constantly fed by all kinds of things going on around us in our day-by-day routines.

The 3rd mural made by the same artist, shows how we slowly forget about what we feel because of the advanced technology that keeps us busy. Based on my thoughts lately, that helmet also makes me think about a soldier from the future, because no matter how much the world is evolving, I doubt everyone can stay out of wars forever.

The next mural already says a lot through its title, where a pretty chaotic design brings a story with every single element that belongs to it. This is also a homage brought to the large mass of people who are leaving their countries with the hope of creating a better life for both themselves and their loved ones but where the lack of hope always complicates things.

Last but not least, we have a short part of Romania's traditions, that was meant to stir curiosity from the younger generations that are the only hope to keep the culture alive with the passage of time. I also feel like this is slowly going to be changed soon if we make a wrong step in voting for the next president.
