Cordial greetings, urban art lovers of this exquisite community, I'm delighted to interact with you for another week, showing you my finds. This time, I present a mural captured during my visit to the Juan Germán Roscio Educational Complex in my community.
For this sharing, I present a solemn mural in homage to our distinguished Venezuelan teacher, Simón Rodríguez, and with him, brushstrokes of his educational philosophy.
Cordiales saludos, amantes del arte urbano de esta exquisita comunidad, complacida de interactuar con ustedes otra semana, exhibiéndoles mi hallazgo. Esta vez les presento un mural capturado durante mi visita al Complejo Educativo Juan Germán Roscio, de mi localidad.
Para este compartir les presento un solemne mural en homenaje a nuestro distinguido, maestro venezolano, Simón Rodríguez, y con él, pinceladas de su filosofía educativa.

In our Educational Centers, values and virtues are strengthened in the students, embellishing and honing the outstanding and fruitful of our letters, distinctive of our legacies, energizing and raising awareness in the educational practicum (pedagogical and didactic) training in our students.
Likewise, it promulgates and invigorates, from the most inaugural formative levels, the distinguished men and women, who by their deeds made history, representative of expressions and chiseled that adorn the pride and strengthen the identity.
En nuestros Centros Educativos, se afianza en los educandos, los valores y virtudes, acicalando y enarbolando además lo destacado y fecundo de nuestras letras, distintivo de nuestros legados, dinamizando y concienciando en el practicum educativo (pedagógico y didáctico) la formación en nuestros discentes.
Asimismo, se promulga y vigoriza, desde los niveles formativos más inaugurales, a los hombres y mujeres insignes, que con sus hechos hicieron historia, representativos de expresiones y cincelados que atavían el orgullo y afianzan con creces la identidad.
This particular mural is special in its discourse, because it is directed to my interpretation, to the teacher-educator and his praxis, as a call to conscience, inviting him to introspection, with its profound graphics.
It is represented by the lithograph of one of his most famous phrases, a quote:
“The teacher of children must be wise, enlightened, philosophical, and communicative, because his job is to train men for society”.
Este mural en particular es especial en su discurso, porque está dirigido a mi interpretación, al docente-educador y su praxis, como un llamado a la conciencia, invitándolo a la introspección, con sus profundas grafías.
Se representa con la litografía de una de sus frases más célebres, cito:
“El maestro de niños debe ser sabio, ilustrado, filósofo y comunicativo, porque su oficio es formar hombres para la sociedad”
It is a writing that invites those of us who practice such a noble profession to reflect, because from his knowledge, the teacher Rodriguez interweaves a myriad of criteria, characterizing the competencies of the teacher who, in addition to being extensively trained, must be a committed facilitator in the flourishing of experiences, favoring in his students the dialogic interaction, in the process of learning to do as a mediator of the teaching-learning process.
Es un escrito que nos invita a la reflexión a quienes ejercemos tan noble profesión, porque desde su saber, el maestro Rodríguez entreteje un sinfín de criterios, caracterizando las competencias del docente que además de estar dilatadamente formado, debe ser un facilitador comprometido con el florecer de experiencias, favoreciendo en sus discentes la interacción dialógica, en el proceso del aprender del hacer, como mediador del proceso enseñanza- aprendizaje.
As for its inventive peculiarities, neither the authorship nor the date of elaboration can be seen in the educational canvas. As for the compositional elements, they are underlain in conscientious harmony, on a tempting cream background. If we direct our gaze to the left in its lower level, we observe some texts piled up, representative of education and knowledge, above them, the previously mentioned quotation of the teacher Simón Rodríguez. To the right, an imposing portrait of the teacher is observed, and the colors used transmit ceremonial solemnity, dominated by the regal black color. Behind the portrait of Simón Rodríguez, the map of our country is represented, and in it, the colors of our flag are observed (yellow, blue, and red, next to the tricolor, the eight stars).
En cuanto a sus peculiaridades ingénitas, no se aprecia en el lienzo educativo, ni la autoría, ni la fecha de elaboración. En cuanto a los elementos compositivos, estos subyacen en avenencia concitativa, sobre un tentador fondo crema. Si dirigimos nuestra mirada a la izquierda, en su nivel inferior, se observan apilados unos textos, representativos de la educación y el conocimiento, sobre ellos la cita del maestro Simón Rodríguez, previamente sobredicha. A la derecha se observa un imponente retrato del maestro y los colores utilizados, transmiten solemnidad ceremonial, dominado por el suntuoso color negro. Detrás del retrato de Simón Rodríguez, se representa el mapa de nuestro país, y en él, se observan los colores de nuestra bandera (amarillo, azul y rojo, junto al tricolor, las ocho estrellas).
The teacher Simón Rodríguez was an irreverent and daring educator and thinker. In his cosmogony, he sketched and threaded education, in dynamism and transformation, erected from the emancipation of thought. He also emphasized the value of education as a social fact, endorsing and endowed with its own existence.
It is their perspectives, full of symbolic particularities, which give educational and pedagogical actions epistemic depth, undermining the temporality and spatiality of the annals of time, thus keeping their indelible traces current, not only in Venezuela but also in Latin America. His thoughts, germinated in actions and tasks, pass and concur in the hermeneutics of linguistics without losing validity.
El maestro Simón Rodríguez, fue un educador y pensador irreverente y atrevido. En su cosmogonía, esbozó e hilvanó la educación, en el dinamismo y la transformación, erigida desde la emancipación del pensamiento. También destacó el valor de esta como hecho social, avalista y dotada de existencia propia.
Son sus perspectivas, colmadas de particularidades simbólicas, las que otorgan hondura epistémica a las acciones educativas y pedagógicas, socavando la temporalidad y espacialidad de los anales del tiempo, manteniendo así vigentes sus huellas indelebles, no solo en Venezuela, sino en América Latina. Sus pensamientos, germinados en acciones y quehaceres, transcurren y concurren en la hermenéutica de la lingüisticidad sin perder vigencia.
