Hello! How's your day? As for me, We are now on the second batch of our training in the Matatag Curriculum. The second batch of our training is held at the Rajah Hotel and Elegant Hotel. The plenary is held at the Rajah Hotel and the breakout session for some other subjects is held at Elegant Hotel.
In this blog, I will share how we made the preparation of our venue on day zero of the training. I departed from home by 8:00 am so that I would arrive at the city by 11:00 am. I don't want to arrive late so that I can still check everything before the event starts. When I arrived I went directly to Elegant for I thought on day zero we would be having our sleeping room at Elegant but unfortunately we would be having our first night at Rajah Hotel. So again I move my baggage to the Rajah Hotel. I felt very stressed about carrying my bag and aside from that I didn't have enough sleep last night because I prepared the materials for I didn't plan to bring a printer anymore. After having my dinner at Rajah, I went to Elegant to prepare the session area and to check if there was a projector, microphone, and everything. Thank God the venue is quite good but we have a problem our display corner for almost 3/4 of the venue is covered with curtains. We just find ways how to attach or display our materials. We did it by using clip and ganso. We used our initiative rather than complaining
After preparing the venue, we found time to relax and took the view along Fuente Osmena. It was really a nice view on top looking at the city with tall buildings and a lot of infrastructure. I realized how busy is the city, unlike the province where it's peaceful and quiet. After a few minutes, we then claimed our materials for the training. Then we back to our training venue for we arranged our materials there to be ready for tomorrow's breakout session. When dinner was ready we took it immediately so that we could relax and be ready for the next day's battle. Day 1 of the training.
