In my first post I already introduced myself and mentioned to work as domestic helper in Hong Kong. I hope you like to read more about my journey here in Hive.
In Hong Kong domestic helpers have only one day off in a week, sometimes also on international holidays. That depends on the decision of the employer then. But at least I have every Sunday off.
I spend my Sundays in St. Joseph Church
I have a community here in Hong Kong: I chose to work in the Catholic St. Joseph Church as a voluntary servant during every Sunday and every public holiday. This community is like a new family for me here in Hong Kong.
All Catholics know that we celebrate SINULOG which originates from Cebu.
I want to show you some photos how we celebrate Sinulog here in Hong Kong's St. Joseph Church. As you can see people here in Hong Kong are so happy dancing with Sr. Santo Nino.
It is a good feeling like being a child again. Every year we celebrate Sinulog here in Hong Kong just a little bit later than the actual celebration in Cebu. There the Sinulog celebration always takes place in every 3rd week of the month of January. But here in Hong Kong we are somewhat behind. And I don't know why we are not celebrating it at the same time.
Mostly only Filipinos attend this celebration in Hong Kong, but look at these white people here, who also enjoy to dance with Pet Senyor!

We love baby Jesus and to experience so happy feelings to live like a child.
And of course here I am also holding my baby Jesus (Sto. Ninyo).
