Hello, my Hive Friends !!!
How are you today? Hope you are well and doing great! Every day is a gift indeed, and let us all be happy and grateful.
Anyways, I would like to share with you one of the journeys of my Senior High School Students, which made me proud.
Senior High School students especially Grade 12 students will undergo Work Immersion. They will be experiencing On-the-Job training, a familiar term to some of us. Before they had their work immersion they will undergo an interview, school orientation, and business firm orientation and I’d love to share their journey with you.
THE INTERVIEW
The students were advised to dress in Business Corporate attire. This had given them an idea of how to dress up when there is a job interview. I enjoyed watching them as they were busy preparing themselves as to what clothes they are good to look at.
They asked me some questions and most are related to the interview they going to attend. I told them to be on themselves so that they won’t get nervous as they gonna be asked possible questions that were useful in real life when they apply for a job.
They were excited and nervous as well. They will be interviewed by our Master Teacher 2 of the school, our ever-hardworking and dedicated teacher Mr. Ornopia.
As I had taken these pictures, I realized how lucky they were to experience this thing because in my time I wasn’t able to experience this thing and I don’t have any idea on how to apply for a certain job.
THE SCHOOL ORIENTATION
Students were given an idea or input on what they should do in the field when they will have their immersion and this was discussed and tackled by our brilliant and hardworking master teacher of the secondary department Ma'am @dehai.
The required documents also were discussed and I reminded them to submit all of these completely to the business firm and it should be compiled and fastened in a white long folder.
THE BUSINESS FIRM ORIENTATION
Before we arrived at the business firm, these were the rides we did. We rode a bus first and then when we arrived at Bogo's bus stop we proceed to ride a tricycle.
I was assigned to endorse the 12 students in a business firm where I previously work for 5 years. I was overwhelmed during the orientation when the branch manager told us that because of me, they allowed and accepted first-time work immersion students in their company. I was happy to hear those words indeed!
He asked permission from their Head Office to allow students to do and experience there on the job training.
As he discussed the rules and regulations of the company, students were excited and nervous as well when the branch manager told them to attend always the morning meeting. This morning meeting happens before they started their day in which they discussed the store update but before the meeting, there will be an assigned person to lead the prayer, memorized the vision and mission of the company and some will share their thought to ponder or even sharing inspirational stories will do.
We took pictures together with the manager. Happy to see the student's excitement.
The next day we visited them and asked how are they. They shared their knowledge on how they do and manage their assigned task and they happily made it and I'm so happy and proud of them.
That's all for now my hive friends. See you in my next blog. Bye for now! God bless🥰
