I listened to the interview that @uncubanomas did with @fermionico and there is a point that I found interesting, and it is the one that generated some debate between the two. I would like to contribute my analysis focused a bit on personal branding.
The idea revolves around content creators. Fermionico says that they should not stay only in that role, but that in Hive you should always move towards other roles that make you look like a partner in this "company". Leo on the other hand, says that creators don't have to do that, but can stay just as creators and that doesn't mean they deliver less value to Hive.
Fermionico's major argument is that at Hive you can't make a living from content creation alone. Leo's argument is that they must rely on web2 platforms.
Let's go by parts. I have made my living from content creation alone. There are others who do. It is not common and it depends on each circumstance. However, even if you can make a living from creating content on Hive, you should not settle for that, as you would not be very comfortable and that is a risk.
I think the ideal is to use content creation to boost your personal brand, not that the content is your entire brand. It is true that there are many creators who are just that, but I see it as a big risk. In web2 there is high competition and censorship. Those who just want to make a living from creating content on web2, risk being eliminated. Those who have their account ownership in web3, earn too little to think about living forever from that.
There are great content creators who have understood this and built businesses driven by their personal brand. We have the great example of Mr Beast who created a chain of restaurants and a brand of cereal bars.
In this sense I think every creator should look beyond that. There are also others who use content creation to promote their services, such as doctors, lawyers, photographers, psychologists, etc. For me this is the best way to look at this tool, since you will always have clientele left in your business, even if you are removed from the RRSS.
The "but" is that not everyone should be a "Hive Builder". We always ask for consumers and most consumers are not builders. In Hive there are no consumers, so creators are sometimes coerced to consume in exchange for a vote. That's not how a community grows. Consumption should be voluntary and because there is good content. If we have not attracted consumers it is because content elsewhere is better and that is a truth we must accept.
The big dream of the crypto industry is that people will use web3 without knowing they are using web3. We have that opportunity in Hive. People can use their social networks without having to know crypto. So we can't force them to be Hive builders. On the contrary, I think we should have millions of users using Hive without caring about promoting it; just like the biggest author on 3Speak who doesn't even monetize, but has the most views in the history of dapp.
Asking people to be "Hive builder", is pressuring them to have a certain personal brand. This is what multilevel businesses do; they lead to people remembering you because you are in it. What is true is that staying with just content creation in Hive is a waste of resources. It's like if you are given to pilot an Airbus A380 and you only fly around the runway.
Conclusion
My conclusion is that if you are a content creator, ask yourself: Where do I want to go with this? Have I already gotten to where I want to be? How can I grow? What tools can I use in Hive to achieve that growth? If I keep earning the same, can I live safely? What happens if Hive goes down? What happens if the whale that votes for me leaves? In the same way, you have to ask yourselves on the web2 If this platform closes, what do I do? If they close my account?
And finally the most important: Does my content generate value to my niche? Do I have a niche? Do I have an audience that I can monetize, beyond the vote?
You can just create content on Hive, if you see it as an extra and have other incomes....

Escuché la entrevista que @uncubanomas más le hizo a @fermionico y hay un punto que me pareció interesante, además que es el que generó algo de debate entre los dos. Me gustaría aportar mi análisis enfocado un poco en la marca personal.
La idea gira en torno a los creadores de contenido. Fermionico dice que no se deben quedar solo en ese rol, sino que en Hive siempre se debe avanzar hacia otros roles que te hagan ver como socio en esta "empresa". Leo por el contrario, dice que los creadores no tienen porqué hacer eso, sino que se pueden quedar solo como creadores y que eso no quiere decir que entreguen menos valor a Hive.
El mayor argumento de Fermionico es que en Hive no se puede vivir solo de la creación de contenido. El argumento de Leo es que deben apoyarse en plataformas de web2.
Vamos por partes. Yo he vivido solo de la creación de contenido. Hay otros que lo hacen. No es común y depende de cada circunstancia. Sin embargo aunque puedas vivir de crear contenido en Hive, no deberías conformarte con eso, ya que no estarías muy holgado y eso supone un riesgo.
Pienso que lo ideal es usar la creación de contenido para impulsar tu marca personal, no que el contenido sea toda tu marca. Es cierto que existen muchos creadores que solo son eso, sin embargo lo veo como un riesgo muy grande. En la web2 está la alta competencia y la censura. Quienes solo quieren vivir de la creación de contenido en web2, se arriesgan a ser eliminados. Quienes tienen su propiedad de la cuenta en web3, ganan poco para pensar en vivir para siempre de eso.
Hay grandes creadores de contenido que sí lo han entendido y construyeron negocios impulsados por su marca personal. Tenemos el gran ejemplo de Mr Beast que creó una cadena de restaurantes y una marca de barras de cereales.
En este sentido creo que todo creador debe mirar más allá. También hay otros que usan la creación de contenido para promocionar sus servicios, como médicos, abogados, fotógrafos, sicólogos, etc. Para mí es la mejor forma de ver esta herramienta, ya que siempre te quedará clientela en tu negocio, así te eliminen de las RRSS.
El "pero" lo pongo en que no todos deben ser "Hive Builders". Siempre pedimos consumidores y la mayoría de los consumidores no son creadores. En Hive no hay consumidores, por lo que los creadores a veces son coaccionados para que consuman a cambio de un voto. Así no crece una comunidad. El consumo debe ser voluntario y porque hay buen contenido. Si no hemos atraído a consumidores es porque el contenido en otros lugares es mejor y eso es una verdad que debemos aceptar.
El gran sueño de la industria cripto es que la gente use la web3 sin saber que está usando la web3. Tenemos esa oportunidad en Hive. La gente puede usar sus redes sociales sin tener que saber de cripto. Entonces no podemos obligarlos a que sean "Hive builders". Por el contrario, creo que debemos tener millones de usuarios que usen Hive sin que les importe promoverla; así como el mayor autor en 3Speak que ni siquiera monetiza, pero es el que más vistas tiene en la historia de la dapp.
Pedirle a la gente que sea "Hive builder", es presionarlos para que tengan una marca personal determinada. Esto es lo que hacen los negocios multinivel; te llevan a que la gente te recuerde porque estás metido en eso. Lo que sí es verdad es que quedarse solo con la creación de contenido en Hive, es un desperdicio de recursos. Es como si te dan para pilotar un Airbus A380 y solo le das vueltas en la pista.
Conclusión
Mi conclusión es que si eres creador de contenido te preguntes ¿A dónde quiero llegar con esto? ¿Ya llegué a donde quiero estar? ¿Cómo puedo crecer? ¿Qué herramientas puedo usar en Hive para lograr ese crecimiento? ¿Si sigo ganando lo mismo, podré vivir seguro? ¿Qué pasa si baja el Hive? ¿Qué pasa si la ballena que me vota se va? De igual manera se lo tienen que preguntar en la web2 ¿Si cierra esta plataforma qué hago? ¿Si me cierran la cuenta?
Y por último lo más importante: ¿Mi contenido genera valor a mi nicho? ¿Tengo un nicho? ¿Tengo una audiencia que puedo monetizar, más allá del voto?
Puedes solo crear contenido en Hive, si lo ves como un extra y tienes otros ingresos...
