Una de las cosas por comprender del patrocinio de un evento es la continuación de un trabajo entretelones y posterior a éste. #HIVE se ha encargado de entregar la responsabilidad a @arlettemsalase y éste servidor para ser representada en estos eventos. Por supuesto, es algo tan delicado y jamás podemos poner en riesgo la reputación del ecosistema. Dentro de ese trabajo durante y posterior al evento está el llamado "networking" Tal palabra define las posibilidades de conexión con otros proyectos o medios y la obtención de exposición para #HIVE.
Por supuesto es algo muy difuso y con resultados variables, los cuales pueden o no, poner en riesgo la relación costo-beneficio. Las métricas de lo obtenido en el Cripto Latin Fest son superiores en términos de números y conexiones. Aunque resultaron menos invitaciones para conectar post-evento, éstas fueron sustanciales respecto a la obtenidas en patrocinios anteriores ¿Par de ejemplos? Arlette fue invitada a dar una charla en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, un alma mater equivalente a la Universidad Central de Venezuela cuando se refiere al prestigio de universidades públicas.

En nuestro caso, la noche del cóctel de cierre estuvimos en contacto, sin saber, con el dueño de uno de los tres medios más prestigiosos en español cuando se trata de la cripto-esfera, llamado Criptotendencias. Al pasar los días y comenzando esa noche, le estuvimos explicando a Andrés Tejero de que va #HIVE hasta que anunció nos pondría en contacto con uno de sus periodistas con el fin de conceder una entrevista ¿Fue suerte? El tiempo lo dirá, pero lo que tengo claro es que cada vez que hablamos con extraños, los contagiamos con el entusiasmo propio del hiver que sabe construye para un mañana. En cualquier momento estaremos contestando el cuestionario que nos han enviado.
Esa es la razón (jamás la única) por la que el equipo de #HIVE se mantiene en la ciudad más allá de terminado el evento. Entre otras cosas, debemos coordinar con los equipos que quedarán al mando del país donde #HIVE interviene. Hoy, por ejemplo, estamos recibiendo en el apartamento a @ecoinstant y a @sofiaquino98 para discutir los pasos futuros para #HIVE Colombia. Entretanto, queda tiempo para hacer turismo a pesar del trabajo, Antier no salimos porque se nos hizo tarde y estuvimos haciendo trabajo entretelones, pero ayer nos desquitamos visitando la cuadra de los museos.

In our case, the night of the closing cocktail we were in contact, without knowing it, with the owner of one of the three most prestigious media in Spanish when it comes to the crypto-sphere, called Criptotendencias. Among other things, we must coordinate with the teams that will remain in charge of the country where #HIVE intervenes. Today, for example, we are hosting @ecoinstant and @sofiaquino98 at the apartment to discuss future steps for #HIVE Colombia. In the meantime, there's still time for sightseeing despite the work, the day before yesterday we didn't go out because we were late and doing behind-the-scenes work, but yesterday we made up for it by visiting the museum block.
Ésta cuadra está conformada por cuatro museos: El Museo de Botero, Museo Casa de la Moneda, Museo de Arte Miguel Urrutia y el Museo de las Fuerzas Militares de Colombia. Para nuestro deleite escogimos visitar los dos primeros ¿La razón? Son demasiado grandes y tienen muchísimas obras que ver, como para que un visitante le sobre el tiempo. El museo de Botero no sólo tiene en exhibición muchísimas de sus obras, sino que además tiene una larga muestra de arte donado por el mismo artista al claustro que le homenajea. Se pueden ver obras de Picasso, Matisse, entre otros muchos artistas colombianos y extranjeros.
Una de las características de ésta cuadra es la conexión, calles dentro, de los cuatro museos. De ésto nos dimos cuenta cuando visitamos el segundo museo del día: La Casa de Moneda. La historia de las monedas pre-hispánicas y épocas subsiguientes, está retratada en la muestra impresionante. Pero además, el Banco Central de Colombia tiene aquí su colección privada en exhibición. Obras de muchos autores del arte mundial son expuestas acá y contiene una riqueza inestimable ¿Dos ejemplos? Un Carlos Cruz Diez descansa en una de las bóvedas (las salas están abovedadas, lo que da una idea de la seguridad).

This block is made up of four museums: The Botero Museum, Casa de la Moneda Museum, Miguel Urrutia Art Museum and the Museum of the Military Forces of Colombia. To our delight, we chose to visit the first two. They are too big and have too many works to see for a visitor to have time to spare. Botero's museum not only has many of his works on display but also has a large display of art donated by the artist himself to the cloister that pays homage to him. You can see works by Picasso, Matisse, among many other Colombian and foreign artists.
One of the characteristics of this block is the connection, streets inside, of the four museums. We realized this when we visited the second museum of the day: La Casa de Moneda. The history of pre-Hispanic coins and subsequent eras is portrayed in the impressive display. In addition, the Central Bank of Colombia has its private collection on display here. Works by many authors of world art are exhibited here and contain invaluable wealth. Two examples? A Carlos Cruz Diez rests in one of the vaults (the rooms are vaulted, which gives an idea of the security).
Otro ejemplo reside en una caja fuerte enorme, donde existe un deshumidificador y tres vitrinas que contienen cada una lo que llaman Custodia. Una especie de candelabro rematado en la parte superior por un círculo, todo manufacturado en oro con incrustaciones de piedras preciosas. Nunca había visto algo tan hermoso y de tan alto valor fuera de las joyas de la corona, en la torre de Londres en Inglaterra. Los orfebres de la época hacían tales trabajos aprovechando los recursos de la zona y la iglesia católica disponía de la riqueza para pagar por ellos.
Para terminar la tarde, fui a comer una sopa de Ramen japonesa. La verdad, recomiendo mucho visiten Ramen House en la calle 12-B de Bogotá en la Candelaria, si desean ir al cielo y regresar. Bogotá se nos ha hecho cálido en éstos días de verano y nos ha llovido poco. Eso sí, las noches super frías (marcando 9 a 11 °C) han sido parte del panorama mientras hemos estado acá. Dentro de poco (un par de días), regresaremos al reencuentro de la patria. Nos leemos por allí.

Another example resides in a huge safe, where there is a dehumidifier and three showcases each containing what they call a monstrance. A kind of candelabra topped at the top by a circle, all manufactured in gold inlaid with precious stones. I had never seen anything so beautiful and of such high value outside of the crown jewels, in the Tower of London in England. The goldsmiths of the time did such work taking advantage of the area's resources and the Catholic church had the wealth to pay for it.
To end the evening, I went for a Japanese Ramen soup. I highly recommend visiting Ramen House on 12-B street in Bogota in Candelaria, if you want to go to heaven and back. Bogota has been warm these summer days and we have had little rain. Of course, super cold nights (marking 9 to 11 °C) have been part of the panorama while we have been here.
