Our mission to spread the good news of Hive is still running this year 2025. We've been doing this for three years already and Im happy and grateful as well that I still have the opportunity to inform everyone especially the Filipinos about this platform.
Actually, It's been a while since I've done an orientation since Ive been relocated last year in another region, Its hard for me to set an Hive Orientation like we used to do. The last time was when I was in Cebu. That time we are invited to have a face-to-face orientation and escalate the news about this amazing platform. More individuals started the journey in Hive in that orientation, As of now, some of them are active and some of them are not. Most of them are still ongoing in creating stories and now they are also starting to help me share about this platform Hive.
This orientation I will share with you is an initiative by one of my onboarded Hiver, @helianthus-chloe. It's almost a year since she started her journey on the platform and she's doing great as a blogger now she started spreading the good news of the platform to her family and neighbors in their Barangay.
Last January 19, she asked me if I could conduct an Online Hive Orientation. She informed me that her friends and relatives are curious and want to learn about the platform. Of course, we cannot refuse this kind of request. Im very happy that theirs a some one I onboarded who is also willing to share the platform with everyone.
So I scheduled them for orientation last February 2, Supposedly it was at 10:00 am the morning but there was no electrical power in our area, and would only return by 6:00 pm. I re-scheduled them in the Evening, glad that they can still all attend the orientation.
In the orientation, I Introduce myself and also some of my inspiration in the platform that helps me in navigating the world of Hive. After a simple Introduction, We already jump off into the Basic information about Hive. I played and let them watch the video made by @lordbutterfly about the Hive Informational Video.
I explained to them what is decentralized social media and how it differs from the other platforms that they usually use like Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. I also explain a little bit about blockchain and why the Hive platform is one of them.
After Introducing Hive, and discussing the platform, I also introduced to them different front-ends of Hive such as PeakD, and Hive.blog, Ecency, and other game platforms such as Splinterlands, Dcrops, and Others. I also discuss the NFTs they might explore one day on this platform.
Then, I navigated them in the interface of @peakd, from the profile, communities, blogs, and also to the area where they create their content. I also discuss the reward system and the Hive wallet. I also introduce to them the Hive Power, HBD, and the HIVE Tokken.
I also teach them how to engage, Upvote a blog, comment on a blog, and reblog as well. We also emphasize the different rules communities have, the best practices they should do, and bad practices they must not do in the platform like Plagiarism and creating content using AI. We also inform them about spam, Identity theft and others they might not do inside the platform.
We also help them create their Introduction blog so they can start blogging officially. On this part, I asked assistance from @helianthus-chloe and @honeylhen1995 which is only a neighbor of the attendees. They are just all in one compound.
Their are nine new attendees in this orientation that are curious and want to learn about the Hive platform. Out of nine, seven of them are already started Hiving and introduced their self on the platform. This Initiative is part of OCD Onboarding Program aiming to escalate and spread the good news of Hive. Its objective is to help newbies by mentoring and guiding them on how the Hive platform works out and giving them the best journey in Hive Blockchain.
