Here's just a little taste of the majesty of the cool water river flowing through the heart of Shambhala campgrounds. I once again woke "early" for 10am yoga on Thursday morning, but instead of heading back camp, my people's met me down at the river. That gave me an extra 90 minutes to stake a sweet spot ok the river bank and float the current a few times before my family got there.
The scenery was unmatched and the daytime party vibes hit the spot. People were excited because Thursday meant two stages would be opening music for the first time on the weekend. All 6 open on Friday, but Thursday the venue is just getting warmed up.
We spent a solid 5 hour out at the river before heading back to camp to get ready for our main picks: Josh Teed, Effin, and Phrva. The ladies were taking a bit longer than expected, so I only caught half of Teed's performance, but he was finessing his fiddle (violin) while mixing wholesome bass for the whole family to enjoy!
Effin came late and managed 45 minutes before making way for Phrva's awesome 90 minute set. He crushed it and left us hungry for more. But after a long day at the rivernI was wiped out. So my partner and I dipped out for camp around 11.45pm and once again I left myself under 1000 steps away from 20K. Maybe tomorrow?! Until next time...
