The truth is we easily get different emotions but them somehow we don't even know how to identify them, it feels like we've grown numb to them. We hardly even know when we are happy, angry, sad, worried, in love, jealous and the likes and that's because of how we've shyed away from most of these emotions since we started having them. The problem is the fact that emotions can be controlled therefore we end up controlling it too much (some might think otherwise though).
I think we do forget that our Brain is sensitive, very sensitive at that and it hardly miss any information that goes to it but then when it notices that the body that it controls don't pay attention to it's emotions even after interpreting things to it, with time the Brain will just stop sending those messages about how and what it feels.
From this point onwards, it gets very hard to identify these emotions but then after going through a really beautiful article recently, I got to realize the function of the brain in all of these and I learnt that shying away from my emotions never helps me at all so henceforth, I've decided to start paying close attention to how I feel and what I feel.
The first thing I do to help me to start identifying my emotions is learning how to breathe right. Most times we don't even pay attention to how we breathe and trust me if we can't breathe right it, we can hardly feel anything right. I guess this is one good benefits of yoga, learning a good breathing technique helps us to identify what we feel and how we feel easily.
Not engaging in too much strenuous works for too long. Well, this might be hard because most times all that we care about is how to put food on the table and if that means doing hard work physically, we don't mind as long as we get the money that we want. Our body is full of life and it grows on a daily basis, whatever we do over a long time becomes something that our body tends to adapt to and most times the things our body adapt to are most times what stops us from paying attention to our emotions.
Well, after recognizing these emotions, the best way to clear my head is resting because most of these emotions that I feel are most times caused due to stress, therefore getting a good rest will help me reboot very well. I also like eating something too just to make sure I'm not under the influence of hunger, hehe. And also I take some time out to rearrange my environment.
Most times I'd clean the kitchen, sweep the floor and do the laundry just to make sure my space has space, hehe. My emotions can easily be improved by engaging in clearing my space and making it as free as possible. I love listening to some really good music or even some motivational words. Music helps calm my nerves and also gives me this consciousness to be attentive to what's going on around me.
Lastly, I also enjoy reading from my best authors and also like discovering new ones too and most times they somehow help me feel okay and better. Thanks to Hive, I don't have to worry too much how to get a good post to read, all I need is the right tag and that's it!
This is my little response to the beautiful #kiss for this week, I'm so happy to be sharing this with you all.
